About this property
Shepherd Huts a the Butcher’s Arms Sheepscombe
Discover the perfect blend of cozy comfort and rustic charm in our two brand-new Shepherd Huts, nestled in the scenic countryside just steps away from our welcoming pub. Each hut is thoughtfully designed to offer a warm, inviting atmosphere, where every detail has been crafted to ensure your stay is as relaxing as possible. From the plush bedding to the wood-burning stove, comfort is at the heart of these retreats. The prime location near our pub makes it easy to enjoy delicious meals and local ales, all while soaking in the serene surroundings. Experience the ideal getaway in a setting where tranquility and convenience come together seamlessly.
Although we are well known for our traditional home cooked food, “The Butchers” is still very much a village pub and you are equally welcome to drop by for a pint of real ale or a glass of wine. The area is a magnet for walkers, cyclists and tourists and attractions such as the Rococco Gardens and Prinknash Abbey are just a short drive away. Strolls in the local woods can be as long or leisurely as you wish and the less energetic can drink in the panoramic scenery from our terrace outside the pub.

About the host
Hosted by Host
The Sheepscombe Valley was once part of a Royal Deer Park used by King Henry VIII, with the pub dating from around 1670. Its name comes from the practice in those days, of hanging the carcasses of deer killed on the hunt in what is now the bar area.
