It’s around 15-20 minutes walk to the town centre, where you’ll find all the major high-street shops and restaurants. On warm summer days, head to Sandford Park Lido for a dip in the outdoor pool before taking a wander through the sculpted gardens. Or stroll over to stylish Montpelier too. Here, you’ll find a wealth of upmarket shops, independent cafes, gourmet restaurants (including Michelin star-awarded) and cosy wine bars. Make sure you stop by the Neoclassical Caryatids and walk through Pittville Park where the Pittville Pump Room – the town’s grandest spa building – still welcomes you to sample its medicinal waters.
The house is also a wonderful base to explore the rest of the Cotswolds AONB. In 30 minutes, you can drive to a number of the iconic Cotswold villages, such as Bourton-on-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold or Burford. Enjoy rummaging through antique shops or taking scenic walks through the rolling hills. Nothing tops off a day like a delicious dinner at a cosy country pub, too.
