It is located in a pedestrian zone in the heart of the late Baroque city of Modica (RG), an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Completely renovated, with a shared entrance and two independent apartments, FreakHouse is the ideal place to rediscover the joy of leisure and relaxation and enjoy a breathtaking view of Modica’s historic alleys, rooftops, and gardens.
Furnished with vibrant originality and thoughtful eclecticism, FreakHouse is, above all, an artistic space.
The shared entrance welcomes guests into a warm and “Freak”-style atmosphere, featuring site-specific paintings and sculptures created by artist Antonio Sunseri in his studio, Freaklab.
A large, comfortable sofa invites guests to linger and contemplate the artworks, offering them a unique way to step into the escapist realm that defines a holiday.
The backbone of Freakhouse is the staircase, a designer structure made entirely of micro-perforated iron that adds an industrial touch to the house, surprisingly blending the early 20th-century Sicilian atmosphere with a more contemporary and cosmopolitan one.
The staircase leads to the first and second floors, each featuring an independent apartment. Two “artistic” retreats, meticulously designed down to the smallest detail with one-of-a-kind artisanal pieces and intriguing touches.
Both apartments are equipped with everything you need for a short or long stay and each features a living area with a kitchen, dining table, and sleeper chair, a double bedroom, a bathroom, and a balcony with a panoramic view of Modica’s historic centre—perfect for breakfast with a view or a romantic aperitif. A shared laundry room with a washing machine is available to guests.
