Beautiful secluded cosy cottage on private coastal estate. Dog friendly. Wifi.

Comfortable cosy cottage with Raeburn range and open log fire. Starlink Hi-Speed Broadband Wifi. Perfect for relaxing of an evening. Garden Cottage has disabled access and a wet room bathroom. There is a beautiful private garden, with outside terrace, set in a secluded position on a private coastal estate. Carse Estate is a working farm in a stunning area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, looking out onto the Sound of Jura and Loch Stornoway it has wonderful coastal views. There is a large sandy beach, the best in the area, wonderful for swimming in the sea loch. On sunny days, the sand warms the water as the tide comes in. Whisky distillery visits, hill walking, coastal walks and drives, cycling, kayaking, coasteering, bird and wild life watching. Good local restaurants and tourist attractions in one of the hidden gems of the UK.

The cottage and location was perfect for our stay. Tarbert is a 25 minute drive away with lots of gorgeous places to eat and amenities. Duncan, our host, was very helpful and gave us tips of where to visit and eat. We had a wonderful visit, thank you!

Beautiful peaceful property, in a secluded spot and hidden from roads and others nearby. Wildlife galore - we saw red deer, bats, owls and badgers as well as loads of birds in the garden alone.The house is adapted for anyone with mobility issues, with a ramp at the front and wet room with everything all on one floor.The host and communication was great. We will hopefully be back, having fallen in love with Scotland!

Lovely secluded country retreat. Red and Fallow deer grazing on the lawn, house Martins swooping around the house and road to the house. Nice place to unwind. Cottage was clean and comfortable. 20-30 mins drive from Tarbert along single tracked road, so make sure you've got everything you need before heading back to cottage. Duncan was nice, called before hand to make sure we had all the information and give us instructions to operate a rayburn.

Looks good from the outside but unfortunately the cleanliness let it down. The rayburn cooker was set to come on at certain times which didn't suit us, also it didn't seem to have been cleaned properly. The outside of the windows hadn't been cleaned and were covered in little black bugs or something.The 4 pillows on the double bed were stained, which we didn't notice until we took the pillow cases off when stripping the bedding as requested. Also a stain on the mattress topper on the double bed.There were hairs on the front of 1 armchair and also behind all the seat and back cushions on the lounge furniture. The floor and water outlet in the shower were not cleaned very well. The fire hadn't been cleaned out from the previous occupants. While we did our best to enjoy our stay the issues stated have left us a little deflated.
