Dimora di mare is located in the hamlet of Ravello overlooking the sea, in a prime location with beautiful gardens and private access to the beach, an lift, two pools, and a private beach club, a short distance from Amalfi, Atrani, and Minori (a 15–20-minute walk away). Ravello on the hill is 5 km away, a 15-minute drive.

The villa, recently renovated to a high standard, accommodates up to 16 people in 8 double rooms with private bathrooms and is available exclusively from Saturday to Saturday.

Dimora di Mare resembles a castle with private gardens on several levels, extending all the way down to the fully equipped beach club right on the sea!

The villa’s five stories are connected by a beautiful old staircase with inlaid wooden handrails, from which stunning views can be glimpsed through arched windows.

A new ELEVATOR is available to connect all five floors of the villa, from the covered loggia up to the rooftop, and, as of now, a stairlift for people with disabilities that descends from the patio area to the lemon grove and lawn level. In this way, the Villa will also be largely accessible to people with disabilities or the very elderly who have difficulty walking.

The Villa, a historic building with approximately 400 square metres of interior space and about 1,000 square metres of exterior space, has recently been renovated to a high standard. It accommodates up to 16 people in 8 double rooms with private bathrooms, spread across three floors. All eight en-suite bedrooms feature either balconies or large oval windows offering stunning views of the sea. Three of them—one on each floor—can be converted to twin beds if needed. The bedrooms are decorated with art objects, valuable paintings, and elegant furniture. All feature small, comfortable sitting areas and original terracotta floors, antique parquet, and old handmade ceramics. All bedrooms offer sea views. Seven of the eight bedrooms have en suite bathrooms; one has an adjacent bathroom. Each bathroom is fitted with glass mosaics, a hair dryer, a courtesy kit, large, comfortable, and relaxing hydro showers, and two of them feature a Jacuzzi. All bedrooms are equipped with the most technologically advanced amenities: soundproofing, heating, individually controlled air conditioning, flat-screen satellite TV, internet access, a minibar, a combination safe, a chest of drawers built into the closet, luxurious linens, and orthopedic mattresses and pillows.

The ground floor has two entrances, both accessible directly from the coastal road. Upon entering through the main wooden door, you’ll find the lobby and the first two panoramic bedrooms with balconies and their own bathrooms. From the parking area, which accommodates two mid-size cars or one van, there is also direct access to the villa through the secondary entrance. An electric charging cable is available upon request.

On the second floor are three en-suite bedrooms with balconies.

On the third floor, there are three additional en-suite bedrooms with large oval windows.
Above this level, the breathtaking view from the rooftop is simply stunning. Here, you can take in the entire property and its beauty at a glance. The rooftop terrace features a small kitchen/cocktail area, a barbecue, and chairs and tables.

On the lower level, below the ground floor, there is a large wine cellar carved into the rock and a beautiful covered loggia: a panoramic living/dining terrace of about 130 square metres, completely covered by a pergola supported by century-old bougainvillea plants, and protected by transparent roller-shutter awnings in case of inclement weather. It features tables, comfortable sofas, a pizza oven, and a barbecue. There is also a new, fully equipped professional kitchen featuring a 5-burner stove, a large oven, a big double refrigerator, a freezer, and a dishwasher. A central island with a worktop made of fine marble allows you to oversee the entire area, prepare your favourite cocktails and local recipes, and still enjoy the view.
This is the ideal spot for al fresco breakfast, lunch, and romantic candlelit dinners with a breathtaking view of the sea and the coast. This covered loggia is also the perfect setting for hosting guests’ special events during their weekly stay at the villa.

From this level, a staircase leads down to the flower-filled gardens below and the seaside area.
Via a staircase of just 130 steps, passing through terraces covered in bougainvillea and lemon and orange groves, you reach the lawn with its relaxation area and sun deck.

The first stop is a must: our enchanting lemon garden. A magical place where you can enjoy a yoga or meditation session or simply relax by reading, listening to music, or playing chess under the lemon trees.

The second expansive garden on your way to the sea features citrus trees (mandarin, orange, and grapefruit) and a large lawn.
There are two children’s play areas, numerous dining tables where guests can enjoy stunning al fresco meals, a small garden kitchen unit, an infrared sauna, and a new Unica Fitness Station set inside a natural cave; a changing room with a toilet and sink is also available nearby.

Two pools are available (open May through October, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.): a swim hydromassage spa pool (4.30 x 2.5 m) and a new round children’s pool (4 m), both located on the two rock terraces right by the sea.

And then a slice of the private Mediterranean Sea… the Villa’s two private and exclusive seaside platforms, equipped with sunbeds and steel ladders, jut out over the water. Along their contours, the sea forms a natural, cosy cove that resembles the most desirable of pools—this is where you can hear the ocean’s breath. Just a hundred metres to the right, a small pebble beach is accessible by swimming, by our tiny inflatable boat, or by the two new SUPs available to guests.

Before heading there… turn back and take in the entire property from the TOP! It’s impressive, to say the least.
The villa is managed directly by the owners, Renato & Annalisa Sgrosso, who will personally welcome you upon arrival and will attend to all your requests, together with their dedicated staff, to ensure your stay is an unforgettable holiday.

HOUSE RULES FOR “DIMORA DI MARE”

GROUP COMPOSITION
The property can only accommodate the number of guests previously indicated. Passports for every member of your party must be provided in advance for police registration purposes; it is best to send a guest list via email (including full name, date and place of birth, and current nationality). External guests or external service providers may not be admitted without the owner’s permission. Any additional guest exceeding the maximum permitted number will be asked to leave the property at the owner’s discretion. Should your party at any time (either at check-in or during your stay) exceed the number of guests agreed upon in the contract, an automatic penalty equal to double the security deposit will be charged. The Owner reserves the right to inspect the property at any time to ensure the cleanliness of the villa and its pools. This is a NON-SMOKING property. Smoking is permitted only on the terraces and outdoors. Pets are not allowed, please.

CHECK-IN, DEPOSIT, AND CHECK-OUT
You may check in between 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Please contact Mr. Renato Sgrosso if you are delayed en route and will not arrive at the time you specified. Check-in will not be permitted after 10:00 p.m. At check-in, you will be shown the layout and features of the property and its facilities, and you will be provided with all necessary information regarding home and personal safety. You will be given two sets of house keys. If not all guests are present during the tour of the house, you, as the person in charge of the group, will share all the information provided at check-in with the other guests and will be responsible for taking care of the house during your stay. At check-in, a cash tourist tax of 3 euros per day is due for each guest over the age of 16, for a maximum of 7 days. You must also provide a cash security deposit of 3,000 euros per week at check-in. It will be returned in full at check-out, subject to deductions for any damage caused and/or payment for additional services. Check-out is on Saturday by 10:00 a.m. Please inform the owner at check-in if you plan to check out early, so that a suitable time can be arranged to inspect the house and complete the check-out procedures. You must pay for any damage caused and any requested extra services no later than check-out.
