Effective 7/1 all guests from the New England States and NY and NJ will not have to quarantine upon arrival!
Rentals are from Sundays to Saturdays (6 nights) to allow a safe amount of time between guests and the professional house cleaning disinfecting. Stroll down to the beautiful Pleasant Road Beach. With soft white sand, friendly ocean air and the warm waters of Nantucket Sound, it is regarded as the best family beach in Harwich. The house is centrally located and minutes from all essentials of an ideal Cape Cod vacation
Note--8 people max, mixed between children and adults -no pets, parties or events, Harwich center, a major supermarket, restaurants, the Cape Cod Bike Trail, Cape Cod Baseball League, the Nantucket Ferry, and boat launch at the Herring River. Situated on a private road, it is ideal for family gatherings with a very large open living room, a cute den, two TVs and a large backyard with swings and a hammock. All amenities are provided. Have a picnic, cookout in the yard, or enjoy a warm outdoor shower after a day at the beach! As much as the adults will enjoy the peace and quiet of the ocean shore, kids will have great fun at nearby venues such as trampolines, go-carts, and mini-golf. Come have a perfect vacation! Our guests love the house and have chosen to return. You will love it, too.


Things to do: Harwich Port's harbors provide easy ferry service to Nantucket and Seal Watches on beautiful Monomoy Island. Chatham's lighthouse, boutiques, and antique shops are just a short drive away. Take a day trip to Cape Cod National Seashore, Provincetown, Wood's Hole, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket Island, Hyannis or the lighthouses (Nauset, Three Sisters, and Truro).

It was a good week in Cape Cod!

Nice 4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, all on one floor. There is a huge backyard with a small swing set and a relaxing hammock. It's a rather short walk to the beach, but not impressed with beach. The day we arrived there were 8 or 9 dead horseshoe crabs laying in a group (man-made arrangement) and so much seaweed between the beach area and the good swimming area. But, there were a lot of people there and there were life guards on duty.

Very nice and relaxing

The house is nice and fits eight people, very well. It has two full bathrooms, so two families can easily use one each. It has a large and nice area to socialize and eat. The yard is very large and relaxing. Kids can play or relax on the hammock, while parents can enjoy the shade under the trees. There’s a very new gas grill that we used a lot. Location is great, as well. Supermarkets and ice-cream parlors nearby. The walk to the beach is short, but on the street, so one should be mindful of traffic with young kids.

Great place for a family stay

The house is efficiently laid out - 4 bedrooms opening onto the living room area. Except for the master, which was larger, the other bedrooms are small but adequate. The master bath has a very small shower, small sink and the washer/dryer. The second bath is off the sunroom, away from the bedrooms. There is also an outdoor shower. All were very clean. The kitchen is dated but clean and well-equipped. Generally speaking, the cottage is showing its age, but solid and clean (no bugs!). There are ceiling fans in each room plus extra portable fans, which kept us comfortable. The house is on a narrow, sandy road, about 1/2 mile walk (or drive - $20/day to park) to the beach, which was well-attended but not too crowded. There were 4 beach chairs and a few toys available. The small Weber grill did not appear usable, and the gas grill was dirty but worked fine after we cleaned the grate. A large tornado had just hit the area, so there were trees down, and tree cutters every day (noisy, but necessary and temporary). Otherwise, it was a very quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Close to Rte 28 and all kinds of activities. It worked very well for our family of 5 adults and 1 child - plenty of seating, two TV areas with lots of DVDs from which to choose. It was reasonably priced and in a good location.

nice place that only needs a few improvements to be great

Nice older home enjoyed by all of us. The plumbing had some issues but we worked with it. All was clean except the rugs which we understood since the vacuum cleaner did not work properly. Nice location within walking distance of the beach. Quiet neighborhood with the exception of the trees being cut down, wood chipper etc., which we understood since the tornado had gone thru that area the week before. Also, please note the gas grill worked as long as the top was opened. Electric sockets by the couch are not right, so we just didn't use them. We had wonderful weather ourselves and enjoyed our week there.

Tucked away on a little dirt road, near Rte 28. Walking distance to Pleasant Road Beach in West Harwich. Need to cross a street, so keep a hand on the little ones. Big yard a plus.

Great house in a great spot!

Vacationed here with younger children and had an absolutely wonderful time. The house is lovely and also very well equipped, the back yard is amazing, and wonderful beaches —both ocean and pond — are mere minutes away. Definitely hoping to come back!

A perfect vacation.

The cottage was a perfect size exactly as advertised. The only issue we had was the walk to the beach had a busy street to cross and that was a problem. Other than that the cottage and beach were perfect.

The best place to go for families!

We just got back from staying here July 9-16th. It had plenty of room for our family of 6. The cottage is walking distance to the Pleasant St. Beach. It is close to everything!!! The outdoor shower was a godsend after the beach with young children, it's a must! I was also happy there was a washer and dryer. The older kids played volleyball in the spacious yard while my little guy played on the swings. I would definately come back!

A perfect Cape Cod vacation home

The house was more specious than I have expected for 8 people. The large open living room and dining room was ideal for us to spend time together in the evening. We were able to find interesting books on Cape Cod on the bookshelves and the kids like the board games and movies they found in the house. The house is very close to the family friendly beach and close to Harwich shopping area. The outdoor shower was very convenient when we returned from the beach. The owner is thoughtful in providing all amenities and we were able to find everything we need in the house from pots, plans, wine glasses to beach/yard toys. We used the grill many times for our cookout and enjoy the large yard. The house is centrally located and excellent base during the week at Cape Cod. I look forward in coming back again next summer. Recommendation: Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Great beach house for families

We loved our time here - excellent location for families. Beach easy walking distance and nicest beach around! House perfect for kids, and extra beach toys and games left by owners were a big hit. The outside shower was the preferred location for everyone after a day at the beach and the outdoor tables were well used by us for meals. Great value and excellent communication with property owner.

A great family beach house

This immaculate home had everything we needed for a wonderful family reunion. Seven people had plenty of room. The house was even better than what was described online. Every possible amenity was available. The kitchen was very workable and well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and even a dishwasher. The extra large living room was conducive to conversations, games or movie viewing. I would definitely recommend this home to a friend.

We had a fantastic week in Beach House. Everything we needed was to hand plus extras to make our daily visits to the wonderful beach a great success. This was our first trip to the US and we were very impressed. We saw whales, swam in beautifully warm seas and played crazy golf. We also visited the interesting fire & history museum, natural history museum, art gallery and Edward Gorey's house. Beach House provided an excellent base for our week in Cape Cod.

We rented this charming property for our first Cape Cod experience. The house was clean, bright and packed with many extras that made our stay more pleasant. The setting was private, the yard great for barbecue and games or just enjoying the peace and quiet and maybe a good book. The location was a comfortable walk to a great beach and also in easy reach to many of the Cape activities. The whale watch from Provincetown was fun and we saw many specimens. The Cape Cod railway trip was the highlight of our 3 yr. old grandson's vacation. Can't wait to visit again and would definitely rent here again.

It's a cozy, spacious, peaceful cottage on a quiet country lane. We enjoyed watching many varieties of birds that perched in the tree outside the dining room window. A brisk walk down Pleasant Rd. will reward you with a clean, sandy beach, and expansive views of the sparkling ocean water! We can't wait to return!
