Located in the heart of the historic Via dei Benci, a stone's throw from the Basilica of Santa Croce, this apartment offers a unique immersion in the history of Florence. The building, dating back to 1400, stands on ancient medieval structures that once constituted the defensive towers of the city, dating back to the era of Matilda of Canossa (11th century). During a careful historical-artistic restoration, supervised by a renowned professional, unique architectural and decorative details were brought to light, revealing centuries of stratified history.
The apartment is furnished with exclusive pieces of art: artistic prototypes made with recycled materials, which make it a habitable gallery, a natural continuation of the beauties of the Florentine museums. Every detail is designed to offer an experience that blends the thousand-year history of the city with contemporary elegance and creativity.
This historic and artistic refuge, located in the Santa Croce area, is an exclusive oasis for those who want to stay in a place that tells ancient stories and celebrates art in all its forms.

We had a problem with the air conditioner unit was so hot. We called property manager and rhey made us take pictures of all the units in each room. Then told us we had to have all the windows closed. Still didn't cool off. Bought two fans at 70 each which we had to leave.Called VRBO and Expedia and property management. At day before checkout we were told they were sorry we were still having problems with air conditioner but the weather had gotten cooler so the apartment should be cooler. Said it was central air for entire building and they were contacting building management.VRBO said they sent multiple emails to property host with no response. While property is very nice the lack of customer service ruined it.

So I was super excited to be at this location because everything is walking distance and we have a big family. But we encountered several issues. First of all, they did not specify anywhere that this was an apartment type situation. We had to climb several sets of stairs to get to our floor with kids and bags and strollers. Secondly, the floors were dusty and unclean. The half bathroom was super unsafe and the toilet almost tipped over. The kitchen and bathroom sinks literally drain super slow. Third, on the site it said “no kids allowed” but when I asked again, they claimed its a family friendly apartment and area which was a huge LIE definitely just to get our money. There’s a hookah/sisha lounge right under the apartment and the people partied literally until 5am every night. So why would you advertise its for families? Lastly, we came from overseas and the hospitality plays a huge part. Their furniture is super old which wasnt an issue. But one of couches was so old that the spring was sticking out. I noticed it the first day of check in but it wasn’t a huge problem. The day of check out he sent a message which stated “We would be happy to receive advice in order to improve our hospitality.” I was trying to be generous and mentioned it to the manager the day of check out for his awareness and instead of saying thank you no problem or anything along those lines, he tried to switch it up and basically started to blame us and say we broke the chair? Never again!
