Immersed in the greenery of Colle Berico, the Villa del Cavaliere Berico is a historic residence that emanates an aura of timeless elegance. Its privileged position offers a spectacular panoramic view over the city of Vicenza and the surrounding countryside, creating an atmosphere of peace and serenity.
A charming refuge between history and nature.
Surrounded by a centuries-old park with majestic trees, the villa offers ample green spaces ideal for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of nature. An elegant avenue leads to the main entrance, where a spacious car park welcomes guests.
It should be noted that within the park, in an outbuilding, live the villa custodians who also carry out gardening services and are present in the external areas even during guest stays.
One wing of the villa is dedicated to a private office and is used throughout the year by the owner.
GROUND FLOOR
The main entrance opens onto a spacious and bright atrium and the villa is divided into two wings from the entrance and across two floors.
To the right we find a large living room with bay window overlooking the garden. The living room is furnished with elegant furniture, a large white leather sofa facing the large television and another living area for conversation. The living room is also equipped with an elegant fireplace that is purely ornamental.
Next to the living room, there is a small lounge with direct access to an external patio, where we have a large table that can accommodate all guests for lunch or dinner outdoors.
We then find the internal dining room with a large table with white armchairs and windows overlooking the garden.
The kitchen, spacious and modern, is fully equipped with high-end appliances and features a central island, ideal for meal preparation for a large group. Connected to the kitchen we have a room dedicated to the breakfast area, comfortable and functional.
On the left side with respect to the entrance, the ground floor houses an elegant study, perfect for those who desire a quiet environment for work or reading, and a library. The floor is completed by a service bathroom and the fully equipped laundry room.
A final wing of the villa, separated from the area available to guests, is used by the Property as an office area and is not available to guests.
FIRST FLOOR
A majestic staircase leads from the entrance to the upper floor, where 6 bedrooms are located.
Climbing the stairs, the first area on the right consists of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, which can be combined or separated, both overlooking the garden. The two bedrooms share a spacious bathroom with a whirlpool bath.
We then enter the lounge which leads to the Master bedroom with dressing room and en-suite bathroom with shower and whirlpool bath. The balcony and large windows of the Master bedroom overlook the park and offer a wide view of the city of Vicenza.
Continuing along the corridor that leads to the other bedrooms, we find a large bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom with bath and a bedroom with two beds that can be used together as a double bed or separated with en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.
Another room with two beds that can be combined or separated with en-suite bathroom with bath completes the floor and allows us to accommodate 12 people.
The bedrooms are spacious and very bright, and each room is equipped with large windows that allow you to enjoy the view of the surrounding greenery or the city of Vicenza.
The entire Villa is air-conditioned.
The vast garden surrounding the villa is an invitation to relax and have fun.
The swimming pool is very large, 10 x 20 metres, with its sunbathing area equipped with loungers and umbrellas, offering an oasis of coolness on summer days.
A pavilion by the poolside is perfect for outdoor lunches or moments of relaxation sheltered from the sun and is equipped with a bathroom and kitchen with a refrigerator.
For sports enthusiasts, a private tennis court set in the greenery is available to guests.
The swimming pool is not heated and is open from 01/05 to 20/10

Beautiful palatial villa and grounds. It lives up to all the photos and more. The pool area was our favourite place. The master bedroom suite is enormous, with amazing city view from its balcony. Air conditioning and electrical shutters among the many facilities in every room. The gardener and cleaner were very discreet and had the pool cleaned and ready by 8 a.m. and gone by 12.
Visiting from Canada for one week, our family of nine spanned ages 25 to 88. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with very good communication with the hosts before and during our stay. The Villa is extremely spacious and secure, very clean, the beds were comfortable, and there are awe-inspiring views/sunsets. The garden is also beautifully maintained. We enjoyed the pool - not heated - but refreshing after a day in the warm sun. We cooked a few meals together and did some laundry. When we faced hiccups with unfamiliar equipment or plumbing, there was a fast and helpful response. We never turned on the tvs - too busy! - but the wifi worked well. If you want to use the tennis court, bring rackets. There is plenty of soap, but pack shampoo. The kitchen is well equipped, however you may need to get food basics (oil, sugar, etc). We loved the location - Vicenza is a special place, plus we easily visited Verona, Florence, Venice and Padova by train as day trips. The station parking lot is closed, so walking to trains was ideal. The station is a 20 minute walk, including 300(?) steep steps down the hill. A grocery store is close to the steps. While climbing back with purchases is taxing, you can take inspiration from the fit Italians jogging past (or just drive). A huge bonus for a family member with mobility challenges was an elevator within the Villa. In real life, the Villa looks just like its photos - well cared for, but aging. We enjoyed its grandeur and old world charm.
