About this property
Cosy cottage with kitchen, log burner & private patio in rural village
Dalveen Garden Cottage is a lovely ground floor bedsit. Large french windows provide lots of natural light in this well-insulated, converted out -building, that dates from the 1920s.
The bedsit has 2 single beds, a wardorbe, TV, sitting area and a log burning stove.
The cottage is very warm and cosy being connected to a biomass supplied central heating and having a log stove in the bed-sitting room itself.
A spacious kitchen-diner allows you to prepare your own food. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, 4 ringed stove, oven, kettle and toaster. There is plenty of space for a work station if you have to work while away.
The Bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet & small sink.
The French doors open onto a private patio and garden which is adjacent to agricultural land.
The cottage is located in extensive gardens, next to the owner's house.
Dimensions:
Bed-sit: 6.50m x 2.90m
Kitchen-diner: 4.90m x 2.90m
Bathroom: 2.90m x 1.50m
The cottage is the ideal base for exploring the Trossachs/Loch Lomond National Park, Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh. Located in scenic, rural Kippen, we are a 5 minute walk from shops, post office and two award winning gastro-pubs: The Cross Keys and The Inn at Kippen. A busy farm shop with a Deli counter and cafe is on the outskirts of the village. Kippen was listed as one of the 20 best villages in Britain in the The Times newspaper.
Guests have access to a washing machine and freezer on request. Sheets and towels are provided.
Off-road parking for one regular sized vehicle is available on the property. Further free parking is available on the road. Tea, coffee, sugar, soap & dish towels are provided.
There is currently no facility for charging an electric vehicle at the house. Stirling has a fast charger facility.
We have free range chickens and a friendly boarder collie on the property. The private patio area at the back of the cottage is fenced in and the animals will not enter the cottage patio/garden area.
The key can be found in a lock box on the property to enable self check in.
