About this property

Rapallo first line near Portofino apartment with private parking

Near Portofino, in the heart of the “Pearl of Tigullio,” this oceanfront apartment with private parking is located within the historic Villa Langano, built by Giacomo Costa and inaugurated in 1890. The Costas, originally from Rapallo—a family of highly successful entrepreneurs and shipowners—named their residence “Langano” in homage to the city pier that once stood opposite it; its remains lie beneath the pier that separates the two marinas and is now called Via Langano.
This oceanfront apartment has been recently renovated to offer a unique experience that combines modern comfort and elegant design. Located on the ground floor, the apartment features a private entrance and reserved parking within the villa’s grounds. State-of-the-art technology and all the necessary appliances ensure a worry-free stay. The apartment is a design masterpiece, featuring a large dining area and a cosy living room equipped with a sofa bed, perfect for relaxing. The separate kitchen, equipped with modern appliances, offers everything you need to prepare lunches and dinners. The two double bedrooms are spacious and feature mattress toppers with memory foam pillows to ensure a restful night’s sleep. The two bathrooms, with spacious showers and designer fixtures, offer functionality and comfort in a refined setting. Pets are allowed.
The apartment ensures excellent climate control because it is equipped with:
- CMV (controlled mechanical ventilation), a continuously operating system that monitors air quality and freshness in an enclosed space. Stale air is extracted from the bathrooms and kitchen, while fresh outdoor air is introduced into the living room and bedrooms, ensuring a slow but constant air exchange in every corner of the home. The system operates autonomously; for optimal performance, it is recommended to keep the windows closed.
- Air conditioning: a centralised system from Mitsubishi’s Kirigamine line, representing the very best currently available on the air conditioning market in terms of technology, comfort, performance, and energy efficiency. The system is enhanced by revolutionary preset functions that make the climate in every room more comfortable than you could ever expect:
The 3D-I See sensor detects the temperature at various points in the room to ensure a more even temperature distribution; it allows you to direct the airflow towards guests or lower the operating power automatically when the room is empty.
The Auto function automatically adjusts the fan speed.
Night mode provides greater comfort at night.
The Plasma Quad Plus filtration system is capable of trapping pollutants, mould, allergens, pollen, and viruses. Laboratory tests have shown that it is capable of inactivating 99.8% of the SARS-CoV-2 virus
The indoor units are extremely quiet, with a sound pressure level of just 19 dB(A) at low fan speed. They use R32 refrigerant, which has a low environmental impact.

Rapallo, with its fabulous seaside setting and mild year-round climate, has been synonymous with tourism for over a century. Located in the heart of the Gulf of Tigullio, it’s an excellent base if you want to explore the Ligurian Riviera; from here, you can take a boat to Portofino, catch a train to the Cinque Terre, or reach Genoa in just over half an hour.
In addition to the climate and the beauty of the area, good food has always played a major role in this success. In this regard, Ligurian cuisine takes centre stage—featuring both land and sea—characterised by simple, authentic, yet flavourful dishes with a unique and unforgettable taste. Rapallo has everything you need for a fantastic holiday on the Riviera di Levante. The historic centre, dating back to the Middle Ages and characterised by a dense network of narrow pedestrian streets (caruggi) typical of Ligurian villages—home to historic shops selling local specialities as well as elegant and trendy boutiques—is the heart of the city’s promenade and shopping district. The Vittorio Veneto Promenade, which winds its way between the sea, Art Nouveau buildings, and the greenery of palm trees and flower beds, is the quintessential stroll. It is considered the city’s “living room” thanks to the numerous outdoor seating areas with sea views at its many excellent bars and restaurants. The symbol of Rapallo is its Castello sul Mare (Castle by the Sea). Built in 1550 on a small rocky promontory overlooking the sea, it was intended to defend the city from attacks by the pirate Dragut. Along Rapallo’s coastline, a series of pebble and gravel beaches stretch out, lapped by the characteristic azure waters of Liguria. For a unique experience, you can reach San Fruttuoso Bay by boat; it is home to the medieval Abbey of San Fruttuoso and the “Christ of the Abyss,” a statue placed on the seabed in 1954. Other beaches near Rapallo include Pozzetto Beach in Zoagli, the beaches of Pomaro, Trelo, and Prelo in San Michele di Pagana, and Paraggi Beach, also known as Portofino Beach.

The space is well appointed and perfect for my daughter and I. Well located just on the fringe of Rapallo core on your way to Santa Margherita. Our host, Stefania was lovely and very gratious. The building is absolutely gorgeous and it seems the upstairs were getting a bit of a renovation. Our space was very well done. Two minor downsides... the gate is narrow and getting in with a car is tricky... follow the instruction video to the letter. The second minor detail is the drainage in the shower was slow.... but somewhat expected for a home that has plumming older than my country. :)

Beautiful, unique stay with excellent service

We loved our stay in this recently renovated boathouse. The property was clean, thoughtfully stocked with the perfect amenities and convenient to Rapallo and Santa Margherita Ligure. Stephania was a gracious and communicative host who provided us with gifts of prosecco and pasta and ensured we had everything we needed at check in and checkout. The unit was stocked with books, brochures and the welcome guide included a wealth of recommendations for food, entertainment, transportation and manuals for all appliances which we felt was above and beyond! We would absolutely stay here again. The only reason we rated 4/5 stars were very minor- the property is on top of a busy road so the beautiful patio was not as functional for us (if the noise doesn’t bother you, it’s a lovely sitting area!) Be sure to watch the video they send with parking instructions- my ADHD brain did not realize that the turn around to come into the left was not a recommendation but necessary as the historic gate is very narrow. We came in from the right and scraped our rental car (user error, but since this is vital to parking and causes damage I would recommend they also write it down this down to emphasize this point as we thought the video was to show where to find the place rather than stating you must enter fromthe left.) Overall a great stay with reliable hosts!
