Wonderful property with amazing views. Conveniently located to wineries and not far from shopping/restaurants of Charlottesville. Make sure to check out the overlook a few minutes away and also the Blue Ridge Tunnel.

We had a fantastic stay at Afton Cottage! It was cozy, comfortable, clean, and close in proximity to so many wonderful hikes, wineries, breweries, and restaurants. We enjoyed the pretty views and quiet downtime in the cottage. Tom and Jackie are perfect hosts who have thought of everything.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage! It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and we especially appreciated how everything in the cottage was clearly labeled, making it easy to find what we needed.Tom and Jackie are wonderful hosts! They were very responsive and made everything easy from start to finish. The location was perfect for exploring the area. We loved being able to walk to the Blue Ridge Tunnel Trail, and Skyline Drive was just a short drive away.We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped place to stay while exploring the beautiful area. We would happily stay here again!

We love this cottage on the edge of the Blue Ridge Tunnel! This is the second time we have stayed here and it was wonderful both times. The owners thought of everything to make our stay very comfortable and homey. I even found ingredients to make a peach cobbler with the fresh peaches that we picked down the road.

This is a lovely property! It’s close enough to town to get to restaurants & groceries easily but far enough away that it’s quiet & peaceful. Small but cozy, it has everything you need for a relaxing & comfortable stay. Very clean, comfortable mattresses and nice outdoor space, and it was fun watching the trains go by. The owners were very responsive and we had a great week.

This cottage is a true gem nestled in the woods and conveniently located to wineries, UVA, hiking, and other points of interest. The kitchen was well equipped, and the beds were super comfy. The house host was very gracious and wonderful with communication. We would highly recommend this cottage!

The cottage was lovely - private with a huge yard to relax in; clean and comfortable bedrooms with plenty of sleeping space; a great layout for the common area (kitchen, living room, etc). Our hosts were great with communication and I appreciated their thoughtful labels and instructions included throughout the house. I would happily stay here again! I'll also note that the house was good for young kids - there's a bathtub and the large sectional sofa was great for them (not to mention the yard!).

Great family vacation rental

This is a great place to stay with your family. The cottage was very comfortable for four adults, one child, and a dog to stay for a week. It had everything we needed. The hosts were great too!

The house was beautifully renovated. The homeowners did a great job leaving some of the historical charm. Location was great. Close to many of the wineries and breweries. The views were amazing very peaceful. Wonderful weekend at our friend’s wedding.
