About this property
Mazama Mountain Hideaway is waiting to be your basecamp for fun! Now with A/C!
Recently built Mazama Mountain Hideaway is waiting to be your basecamp for fun!
Mazama Mountain Hideaway is perfect for 4-6 people to enjoy the space and privacy of three separate bedrooms in our newly constructed and beautiful cabin located between Winthrop and Mazama. We are about 10 miles west of Winthrop, and about 3 miles, or a 5 minute drive from a tasty scone or baguette at the Mazama Store.
New for 2025 we have air conditioning on both floors with a new efficient heat pump system.
The downstairs features a nicely appointed kitchen that is ready for you to cook great meals for your friends and family. Enjoy your meals, in the natural light of the beautiful dining nook that seats 6 adults comfortably with views of Flagg Mountain and Goat Peak in the distance. The downstairs also features a toasty propane fireplace, bedroom, full bathroom, and coat / boot room with all new washer and dryer to help you clean up after your adventures. While we generally appreciate going to our cabin to unplug, we do provide wireless internet, HDTV, and 4k BluRay DVD with a Bluetooth capable audio system for entertainment.
The upstairs features two larger bedrooms and a second full bathroom. All three bedrooms are furnished with very comfortable new queen beds with goose down comforters in the winter, and lighter bedding for summer. Many of our friends and guests remark that these mattresses are more comfortable than what they have at home. Let us know what you think!
• No smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere on the premises.
• No more than 6 guests are allowed.
• We are sharing our beautifully furnished new cabin with you, please treat it as you would want others to treat your home.
• No fires or candles.
• No Pets.
• Housekeeping: Your cleaning fee helps to pay for the cleaning of the home after your stay and does not include any form of daily housekeeping. Sheets and towels have been provided and may be cleaned using the washer and dryer during your stay if you desire.
• Dishes are handwashed at Mazama Mountain Hideaway, we do not have a dishwasher.
• Towels, Linen, and Blankets – Please don’t take the towels, linen, or our throw blankets outdoors for any reason.
• Propane Fireplace – The fireplace is efficient and warm but must be turned off whenever leaving the home.
• Power – We’re at the end of the road, and sometimes the power goes out, or the internet goes down. It’s part of the mountain cabin experience.
• Seasonally offered grill – Bring your own 16oz propane bottles to use the grill when offered seasonally. Please confirm with owner if arriving in late fall or spring.
• Septic System - Rural living means using a septic system. Please don’t flush anything besides toilet paper and human waste.
• Highway passes – During the winter months, State Route 20 is closed between Newhalem and Mazama. Guests arriving from the westside will need to plan on traveling over I-90 or US 2. Please monitor the mountain weather forecast and pass conditions closely.
• Parking – There is room for parking three cars in the parking area. The road and driveway are plowed regularly during the winter months. If arriving at night, please consider keeping a headlamp or flashlight handy as there are no streetlights. The cabin is on a gravel drive that is plowed regularly.
