Take in the morning and afternoon sun on the front and back decks, and enjoy the ambience of the wood fire in the cooler months. Kakanui is popular for dog walking, whitebait fishing, surfing, and whale spotting! Easy 12 min drive to Oamaru town, or 20 mins to Moeraki boulders.

The hosts were welcome and the amenities in fine condition. This is a terrific house on a great site - thoughtfully designed, very new, and also well planted. We had a fine stay! And could not recommend it too highly. The beaches north and south along the gently rolling downs of North Otago are very beautiful.
