Lower Deck offers close by access to the South West Coast Path. So, simply step out your front door to explore South Devon’s beautiful coastline. Take a short walk to Dartmouth Castle and Sugary Cove, or take the ferry across to Kingswear to visit The Daymark and experience the beautiful views.
Families with adventurous young explorers are sure to love nearby Woodlands, just five miles out, where all-weather fun is guaranteed. With a mixture of rides, indoor and outdoor play areas, and even a toboggan run, you’re sure of a good day out. Or why not step away from the shore and take up one of the many boat rides which can be caught from the waterfront, with sights to see including historical Greenway Holt, the home of Agatha Christie, and a selection of nautical wildlife too, from seals to sea birds.
Dartmouth is an all year round destination hosting a variety of regional events like the yearly Dart Music Festival (May), the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta (August), and the Dartmouth Food Festival (October).
Positioned just a short walk from the heart of town, this riverside apartment is the perfect base for exploring the picturesque South Devon coast. With the South West Coast Path practically on your doorstep and Dartmouth’s boutique shops, cafés and restaurants within easy reach, Lower Deck truly offers self-catered accommodation at its best.
Inside, the open plan living and dining area creates a welcoming space to unwind. Enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine while soaking in the sweeping river views through large French doors that open to a Juliet balcony. The lounge features a Smart TV, DVD player and an electric fire, perfect for cosy evenings in after a day of discovery.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped for your self-catered stay, with an electric oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher and fridge freezer, plus a utility cupboard with a washing machine for added convenience. Whether you’re preparing a quick breakfast or a three-course dinner using fresh local produce, everything you need is at your fingertips.
The master bedroom offers a double bed, fitted wardrobes and a luxurious en-suite bathroom, and, best of all, a stunning river view to wake up to each morning. The second bedroom is typically arranged as a twin but can be made up as a super king upon request (please specify when booking).
A stylish family bathroom completes the accommodation, featuring a bath with overhead shower, ideal for a long soak after coastal walks or beach days.

Parking:
There is no allocated parking and therefore we advise that you plan ahead. There are several local options nearby. Free parking can sometimes be found (though not guaranteed), and there are paid options available as well. The main central car park is Payby Phone App controlled and is approx. 15 minute walk away. Many visitors have found the 'Just Park' app helpful in securing a spot, so it’s worth looking into if you want to plan ahead.
Between 1st October and 30 April there are lots of free and unlimited spaces throughout the town, the majority of those being on 'South Town' which is the main road leading up to the property or 'Embankment Road' which is the road that runs along the entire river.
During the main season (May-September) the 'Park and Ride' offers the best solution with regular buses running through the day.
Bed Configurations:
The twin room is set as two singles as standard. This can be altered to a superking with good notice and must be mentioned when booking.
Rental Conditions:
Prior to your stay, we require you to complete a pre-arrival form and sign & agree to our rental conditions.
