The village is known for its cliffside railway leading to nearby Lynton (1 mile). Local walking destinations include the Valley of Rocks, Watersmeet and Heddon Valley, all within 6.5 miles. Exmoor is also home to a zoo and the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, both within 12 miles.
