About this property

Escape to a romantic countryside retreat on a working farm in the heart of Kent.

Get cozy and settle into this rustic space. Escape to the country, with a stay at this stylishly decorated, one bedroom, renovated farm building. It's part of a beautiful Oast House conversion, just outside the pretty village of Lenham in Kent, in the grounds of a working arable farm. With its original features, including the exposed beams and unusual additions, like the spiral staircase, it's the perfect base to explore the beauty of the Garden of England.

The space

Upon entering through a wide wooden door, your first sight will be of the exquisite wrought iron, spiral staircase that links the lounge with the upstairs bedroom.

You'll then notice the open plan living area, with the plush teal sofa that you can sink into, the quirky lounge furniture that the owner has lovingly restored. The kitchen that runs alongside has everything you'll need for a home cooked meal, along with typical mod cons, like a microwave, induction hobb and oven.

Through another rustic wooden door is the quirky, spacious bathroom, with its large shower area, porcelain units and vintage mirror.

Upstairs you'll find the large, interesting bedroom, with king sized bed, comfy furnishings with vanity area, exposed hanging space and a full-length mirror to the other.

The split door at the end opens to reveal an additional exit to the side of the property, down the outside steps.

The name Manor Pen relates to the enclosed area visible from the bedroom door, where traditionally escaped livestock would be caught and held until the owner was able to retrieve it.

Guest access

Guests have full access to the Manor Pen and its enclosed patio area. A single parking space is allocated to Manor Pen guests and is directly outside the property. The entrance to the farm and the parking area is shared by the owners and other guests on site. Please do not venture past the parking area, for your own safety, as it is a working farm.
