The Cowshed is a new conversion of a building which was once a cow barn. Set in a country garden, with views of a large pond, this property is ideal for an escape to the country, with high-spec modern fittings, luxurious bedding and beautiful lighting. Located 1.5 miles from the historic market town of Tenterden with plenty of shops and restaurants. The Cowshed benefits from a private south-facing garden.

As we only opened for a couple of months before lockdown, we have not got any reviews on this site yet, but we have many good reviews elsewhere.

What a wonderful barn conversion cottage for myself and my partner to spend a few days in the Kent countryside and a trip to the Chapel Down vineyard. The cottage and its gardens with pond were excellent!

Our stay at the Cowshed was delightful. After a busy weekend it was the perfect place to return to. Clean and bright accommodation with the addition of well managed garden area, ideal for sitting out in the evening and relaxing by the small lake.

A very relaxing stay

The Cowshed is a lovely little property for a couple, located within the beautiful grounds of the owner's property. It is well equipped and very clean, with some wonderful outdoor space to enjoy when the weather allows. We even had a visit from a badger whist we were there!There are many places to visit in the area including vineyards, gardens and Stately Homes, and numerous places to eat nearby, if you don't want to cook.

Brilliantly fitted out property in private garden setting. Close to all Kent attractions from the lovely village of Tenterden. Would recommend to anyone thinking of staying here.

We had a lovely stay at The Cowshed and really enjoyed our time here. The accommodation is comfortable and peaceful, set in a beautiful garden with lovely surroundings. Good for tuning and hiking. It is a great base for exploring this part of Kent, while also being a very relaxing place to come back to at the end of the day.Clare and Guy were very good hosts. Before our arrival, they provided clear and detailed information about the property, the directions and the access arrangements. This was particularly helpful as the location can be a little difficult to find, and there were roadworks in the area during our stay.Communication was easy throughout. Whenever we had a question, they responded quickly and dealt with it in a practical and helpful way. At the same time, we had plenty of privacy and were able to enjoy the Cowshed and its surroundings at our own pace.We would happily stay at The Cowshed again and would certainly recommend it to others looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay in this part of Kent.Thank you, Clare and Guy, for a very enjoyable stay.

Had a lovely short break (4 nights). The property was clean, tidy and the gardens and pond well kept. We both recommend and we had some nice days out in the surrounding Kent countryside.

Tranquil setting

The Cowshed, is set in absolutely beautiful gardens with a pond and benches to sit and relax on. The accommodation is lovely, all open plan so weird no bedroom door, as just a wall between. Mum found the short wardrobe above the washing machine difficult to reach, so maybe a shorter/elderly person would find it a little tricky. But overall it was delightful, as were Guy and Clair and as for Kate the dog we loved her popping over to say hello. We would be more than happy to stay here again. Thankyou. x

Prachtig verblijf, super verzorgd modern en heel schoon. Fijne wandeling vanaf verblijf naar centrum Tenterden via natuurlijke wandelpad. Mooie tuin met de veel privacy. Sleutels inleveren was wel een ding.

High spec property in beautiful peaceful setting within easy reach of lots of places of interest

Wonderful property in extensive grounds. Able to charge electric car. Good local walks from property to Tenterden and along High Weald Landscape Trail. Innumerable places of interest within a 20 minute drive in all directions. Great hosts.

Quiet, Beautiful stay

We rented the Cowshed for a wedding we attended and it was very spacious for two people and had everything we needed! The hosts were so kind and helpful!! The property is beautiful and scenic. We enjoyed the backyard/patio area, as well. Wonderful memories made ❤️

Wonderful Stay ❤

Had such a lovely stay at The Cow Shed. The pictures on here don't do the place justice, it's so much pretier. We were greeted by Clare who was so friendly, made us feel welcome instantly. The barn is beautifully decorated with all the mod-cons you need. Location is perfect, peaceful and tranquil, 20 mins drive to the nearest town which is Ashford. Camber Sands beach was on 25 mins away. Highly recommend!
