We would be happy to welcome you to our recently converted timber framed building (once a pig shed!) with modern furnishing, wooden floors and high ceilings. 1 double and 1 twin bedroom. Fully equipped kitchen, WiFi, Freeview TV, walk-in shower. Peaceful Kentish countryside location, set in half an acre of garden, 1 mile from Tenterden. Suitable for weekend getaways, family holidays and also an ideal venue for small business meetings.
Pickle Cottage was once the "Pig Shed" for the farm and we have now renovated it to provide modern and spacious accommodation to suit 4 people. An additional bed can be provided on request for small additional fee. The living/dining area is open plan and therefore large enough for small business meetings for 6-8 people during the day.
The owners, Guy and Clare, will be delighted to meet you and to help you discover the local area.

We loved this holiday cottage so much, 7 years ago, when we stayed here for the first time and still love it today! Cottage situated in a rural and peaceful area. The owners Clare & Guy are very kind and helpful.
Perfect for our stay. Great and simple check in and communication. We loved the size of the property, location and how quiet it was with a beautiful garden. Location to Tenterden was great and for everything we wanted to see. Loved the welcoming flowers and the surprise chocolates. Guy and Clare were great hosts.
Beautiful property in lovely secluded country area. Well maintained extensive grounds set in a beautiful period property. Great hosts, who were very helpful to our party. If you are in Kent, do not miss this one!
We enjoyed our short stay after our long haul flight. The cottage had everything we could need, cosy and warm, set in beautiful grounds including a pond with a pontoon to sit and enjoy a drink. Close to the shops in Tenterden, the coast and National Trust properties. Wish we could have stayed longer.
The barn is perfect in every way.
Everything you need is there no shortage of cooking equipment.
The whole place was immaculate in all areas.
We would stay again when we travel that way agsin.
The house was very nicely decorated and clean. We really liked the equipment such as kitchen utensils, kitchen appliances and towels in the bathroom. The beds were fantastically comfortable. Clare and Guy are really lovely hosts. Our kids loved the cute dog Kate and the pond with the fish.
My wife and I have stayed in many holiday cottages in the UK over multiple years, and this was one of the best. The cottage is spacious with comfortable furniture and beds. The kitchen was fully equipped for our daily breakfast and dinner preparations and the property grounds are beautiful and quiet. The location is very convenient for visiting local attractions, including Great Dixter, Sissinghurst, Bodium Castle and Scotney Castle. The hosts were friendly and always available and helpful when needed.
After 7 weeks on the road travelling around the UK, our stay in Pickle Cottage gave us a wonderful, peaceful break. We came to visit the gardens of Kent and found ourselves living in one right there. It was close to the lovely town of Tenterden and also central to access other well know sights in the area. The cottage is beautifully set up with everything we needed. We thoroughly recommend this property.
Beautiful and very clean house. All facilities were there. Beautiful, nice and quiet surroundings.
We enjoyed the visits of your lovely dog every day and we miss her. Hope she likes the play balls we left for her.
We would definitely visit again. Thank you for a perfect holiday. Say hello to your dog from us. Till next time.
A really lovely property set in the owner’s beautiful garden
If you like a peaceful setting this is the place to be for a relaxing holiday. It is also an ideal location to visit for many of the lovely towns and historical places that are on offer in Kent.
No pigs to be seen but “Kate” was a great replacement ( the pooch)
Beautiful, clean and well appointed cottage in quiet yet convenient location.
I will return and thoroughly recommend this cottage.

We had excellent communication with our hosts, Clare and Guy. The location of Pickle Cottage is in the grounds of Haynes farm and has the benefit of its own garden but guests are able to use the all of the grounds. We spent one evening sitting overlooking the beautiful pond, a lovely place to relax after a day out. There are some lovely walks from the property without having to use your car
Pickle Cottage is one of those rare finds where the property actually lives up to billing. From the standard of cleanliness, location and cottage itself we were very happy and enjoyed a very relaxing break. Highly recommended

About the host

We bought Haynes Farm in 2006, when it was a barn with a corrugated iron roof and an old cowshed and pigshed. We have since restored and converted the buildings and are now working on the garden! We have 3 children, 2 grown up boys who work in London and a 15 year old daughter.
