Excellent location and excellent property, the owners are very nice and have done a great job in making everything available. Its a great place to stay.
A gorgeous renovation in a great location, and thoughtfully equipped. Thanks to Lynn and Colin who were wonderful hosts. Our little people were charmed by regular visits from the cows, geese and sheep who lived in the field next door. Highly recommended!
The Stable is a comfortable and charming accommodation, and it was super clean. Lynn and Colin made us feel very welcome, and it was nice to be welcomed by the farm animals every day as well. The location was great, we loved spending time in Tenterden and the High Weald. We highly recommend it!
The Stable was spotless, cosy and spacious with a beautifully fitted kitchen and 3 lovely bedooms and 3 bathrooms. The Landlord was charming and couldn't have been more helpful.
It was the perfect place for our family from Rolvenden, Hastings and Toulouse to have a wonderful Christmas.
This property was absolutely 💯 the cleanest vrbo that I have stayed in , the stable is as discribed the owners were friendly they didn’t seem to mind the amount of visitors we had over . Was lovely to see the animals and the puppy dog . Would not hesitate to come back or recommend we stayed 16 knights and loved every single one . Now it’s time to go back home to Las Vegas.
We had lovely three weeks at The Stable: a family of four grown-ups, we had plenty of space, also for working from "home". We have never had a holiday home that was so well equipped, with so many practical details . The house is divided in an old part, very cleverly furbished and decorated, and an newly built part, a lovely patio with a view over the countryside and a pasture with cattle, sheep and geese - one could watch them all day. Tenterden town centre is 2 kilometres away providing opportunities for shopping. There are many owner-managed shops, restaurants an cafés. Small Hythe, part of Tenterden and its old port, is home of a big vineyard with a restaurant, shop and walks around the vineyard, and a lovely garden and house, now cared for by the National Trust. Lots of things to do and explore in the neighbourhood, Sissinghurst and Great Dixter Gardens, just to name a few. We really enjoyed our stay!
Myself, Mother and Aunt were all impressed with the property. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed along with a splendid welcome pack. We loved being on a farm watching a variety of creatures. Although feeling remote it was less than a 10 minute drive to Tenterden. Would recommend!
Managers communicated very well. Owners were very friendly and left a welcome basket of food. Rooms large and airy and very clean Beds comfy. Great place to stay for minature steam railway, Hastings and Wildlife reserve at Lympe.May return at some time in the future.
We stayed in this beautifully and lovingly converted barn. We did not want to go home and will definitely stay there again. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Excellent accommodation. 5 star.
The Stable provides five star facilities. It has been very tastefully renovated. The welcome pack was very thoughtful and much appreciated. The accommodation was very comfortable and there was plenty of space for six of us. The owners were very friendly and it was lovely to see the lambs being born.

Unique, beautiful barn conversion on a working farm.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the stables. The cottage is a converted barn/stable with lots of character and unique quirky features. It is situated on a working farm next to the farmer/owners family home on the side of a quiet lane, about a mile from Tenterden town centre. The owners are lovely and provided a much welcomed basket of provisions from the farm on our arrival. The seating area outside was next to the field/paddock which was occupied by cows, geese and ducks which would be great for younger children to look at. It was, however, quite noisy at times which we didn’t mind (all part of the farm experience) The only downside, we felt, was a feeling of being slightly ‘on show’ when sitting outside - we would have preferred a more secluded garden area, but this is just a personal preference. The location is superb; a short drive to local towns, lots of National Trust properties, half an hour from beaches at Hastings and the south coast and a pleasant hour on the train from Headcorn station into central London (we got last minute tickets to watch a West End show) In conclusion this is a beautiful property in a great location with friendly, helpful owners. We would definitely visit again.

Top place
Skilled and imaginative barn conversion finished to a really high standard. High grade furnishings and a very well equipped kitchen. Many unexpected extras such as the much appreciated welcome pack. Tenterden is an attractive and buzzing town with no shortage of good places to eat across a wide range of styles and price, and a choice of independent farm shops for when you prepare your own meals.
Owners Colin and Lynne are friendly and helpful hosts and their chickens, geese, ducks and cattle (and not forgetting the dogs) add character to the wide views across Kent.
Altogether a top place run by top people
