Sea Haven is a stunning architect-designed home in the seaside village of Johnshaven, Aberdeenshire. With panoramic sea views and direct beach access, our stylish home sleeps 8 across 4 bedrooms. Unwind by the log burner in the living area, where sliding glass doors frame the coastal scenery, or cook in the open-plan kitchen overlooking the beach. Enjoy fresh seafood from The Lobster Shop, meals at The Anchor Hotel, local shops and the traditional harbour, all a short walk from the property.
The space
Sea Haven is a breathtaking 4 bedroom self catering home in the coastal fishing village of Johnshaven, Aberdeenshire with panoramic sea views and direct beach access from the garden.
Sea Haven is split across three floors, with traditional sandstone house containing four luxurious bedrooms and our architect designed modern kitchen and living rooms located in the stunning wood clad extension.
On entering Sea Haven, guests are welcomed into our open plan kitchen with dining and living areas. The kitchen is the heart of our home, with large island and modern kitchen facing the beautiful sea view. Glass doors open onto the patio area and private garden. Sea Haven is perfect for self-catering stays, and is well equipped with a double oven, induction hob and dishwasher, whether you wish to cook a delicious meal or treat yourself to fresh fish and chips. The living space features a sumptuous sofa and smart TV, perfect for relaxing with your feet up, while the large dining table located by the windows is a great spot for enjoying drinks or meals together, with a spectacular view in all weather.
A separate living area can be found on the first floor, where large comfortable sofas invite you to gather around our cosy log-burning fire while enjoying the endless sea views, a favourite spot of our guests in the evenings. Glass sliding doors with Juliet balcony can be opened to further take in the views. We love listening to the crashing waves and enjoying some fresh sea air from this spot. This room has a large smart TV with services such as Netflix and Disney+ available for streaming TV or watching films.
There are four bedrooms available at Sea Haven, all with comfortable king size beds and high quality linens. On the first floor, our master bedroom overlooks the sea, with Bedroom 2 to the rear of the property featuring comfortable beds and a dressing table. Upstairs, there are two further bedrooms. All bedrooms have plenty of storage and hanging space for unpacking items during your stay.
On the ground floor, our Shower Room, featuring toilet, sink and large walk in shower with rainfall shower head promotes relaxation. Our Master Bathroom can be found on the first floor with luxurious freestanding bathtub, walk in shower, toilet and sink for guest use.
Soft bath towels and luxurious toiletries from Fine Scottish Soaps are provided for all guests. Our beds are made up with fresh high quality linens.
Our utility room can be found by the front door and has a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink for guests to use during their stay. There is plenty of storage space for hanging coats and storing sandy shoes after a trip to the beach.
There is an extensive garden surrounding the property, with a relaxing outdoor seating for you to enjoy the breathtaking views. There is a gravel driveway with plenty of parking space to the side of the property. The rear garden has a patio leading from the Kitchen, along with large areas of lawn. There is a ruin in the garden, dating back to the 1800s which was once part of a row of fishermen's cottages. The beach can be accessed directly from a private gate at the end of the garden, where guests can explore rockpools, enjoy a picnic or walk along the quiet area of coastline.

The entire house is available for guests to use with entry via a lockbox. There is an extensive garden surrounding the property and large driveway with plenty of parking space to the side of the house. The beach can be accessed directly from a private gate at the end of the garden.

Originally built around 1830, the sandstone house has been recently extended and renovated by local architect to enhance the sea views. A tasteful wood-clad extension contains the modern kitchen and first-floor living area, both with wide sliding doors that open to the beach view and fresh sea air.
The small town of Johnshaven is a traditional fishing village with working harbour and rows of beautiful seaside cottages. From the doorstep, guests can explore the beach, accessed directly from the garden. The traditional harbour is a short walk from the property. Enjoy fresh, locally caught seafood from The Lobster Shop, relaxed meals and a wee drink at The Anchor Hotel or browse local artwork crafts and gifts at Starfish Studio, all within walking distance.
