Charming garden flat in central London

A beautiful spacious garden flat boasting a newly designed kitchen and a second dining and living room under a glass extention facing a secluded mature garden. Centrally located in zone 2 near two underground stations the host provides you with oyster cards and maps for sightseeing.There are plenty of local restaurants , shops and pubs ,two parks with cafes, a climbing centre ,reservoirs sailing Kayaking and the Woodberry Down nature reserve.

The space

I am renting a double bedroom in my large, beautiful garden flat in a wonderful Georgian building with a large glass extension housing a second dining and sitting area. The perfect place to have a relaxing time whilst visiting London. The bedroom is cosy and newly decorated with ample wardrobe space.There is a bathroom with bath ,shower, sink and toilet which is kept clean at all times. I provide a hair dryer ,bedding and towels. Shampoo and shower gel will also be provided. There is new sofa bed in the front lounge for up two extra guests at an additional cost of £38 per person per night.

The flat is within a short walking distance to the travel hub of FINSBURY PARK (Zone 2) Victoria and Piccadilly Line Tube Trains and British Rail. It is also just a short tube train ride from all HEATHROW Terminals - Piccadilly Line to Finsbury Park (1.5hr) Door to door! It also takes just one hour to get to Gatwick Airport and Stanstead Airport from this location.

Both lounges have HD smart TV. Studio area with WiFi. Fully equipped kitchen and some food essentials will be provided on arrival, guests can cook and use kitchen facilities, but must keep it clean.

Whilst staying at my flat I can give you information on aspects of London's main tourist attractions, museums and gallery locations.

A holiday to remember

Great location with easy access to two tube stations and a nice park across the road. Property is within reasonable walking distance to restaurants and stores. Hidden treasure is the backyard which offers quiet, private space.

Owner didn't leave, so I did

This was a very stressful experience. I booked 3 nights with Home Away to have some time to myself. The owner didn't leave. She asked me if it was OK if she stayed and that she'd go to a friend's house the next day. I said OK but she didn't leave the 2nd day, either. I decided to leave one day early, but then found out it was past the 12 hours deadline to file a complaint or get a refund. I just wanted a place to myself, so I got a hotel room. If this ever happens again with any other property, I'll leave right away and get a refund.

Artistically decorated ground floor flat in quiet residential area, only 5-10 min walk from 2 Undergound stations (Viktoria & Piccadilly lines). Open layout front room and updated eat-in kitchen with hallway to small bathroom & bedroom. Another hallway brings you t a small solarium opening into the back garden. Owner & property manager readily accessible & responsive. Availed ourselves of some of the recommended cafes/pubs/restaurants and enjoyed them all. Cheers!

Gorgeous house in the heart of everything!

I LOVED staying here. Easy access to two tube lines so it was half an hour to just about anywhere in the city, and an hour to the airport. The owner is an artist so her house is beautifully appointed with a lot of personality, and she was communicative and friendly throughout. In the summer the garden is gorgeous, with fresh apples and raspberries to enjoy. This is exactly what VRBO is all about in my opinion -- discovering hidden gems and meeting great people. I wish I had more than five stars to give!

SISTEMAZIONE MOLTO DELUDENTE

La casa, entrando, si presenta bene, con il bel soggiorno e la bella cucina, molto attrezzata, che si vede nelle foto. Ma, già dal check-in, abbiamo avuto una cattiva impressione. Dopo averci mostrato la casa, la proprietaria si è riaccomodata in giardino con una sua ospite con l'intenzione di trattenersi a conversare ancora un po'. Quando le ho fatto notare che eravamo stanchi del viaggio e avremmo voluto rilassarci con un po' di privacy, se ne è andata, lasciandoci tazze e bicchieri sporchi in cucina. Sinceramente, questo atteggiamento mi è sembrato molto poco professionale! Ma questo sarebbe stato un piccolo neo.....se tutto il resto fosse stato piacevole. Nonostante avessi letto nelle recensioni che la camera da letto fosse piccola, non mi aspettavo un buco così! Non solo da un lato del letto mancava di comodino, ma il letto era addirittura addossato al muro, anzi a una finestra, per cui era impossibile entrare nel letto se non salendo dal fondo. Inoltre il letto era, in realtà, una tavola di legno poggiata su...contenitori di plastica per il riciclo!!! Quando, dopo la prima notte, ho provato ad areare la stanza, è stato impossibile aprire la finestra, in quanto era bloccata e la sporcizia e le ragnatele sul bordo testimoniavano da quanto tempo non fosse stata aperta. Poiché in casa abbiamo trovato più di un ragno, si può immaginare come abbia dormito serena, con la testa a pochi centimetri da quel vetro! Inoltre, non abbiamo affatto gradito dover mettere i nostri vestiti nel poco spazio lasciatoci nell'armadio in cui c'erano anche i vestiti della proprietaria. In realtà, in casa, c'è un'altra stanza matrimoniale - usata dalla proprietaria - che sarebbe stata molto più piacevole, essendo spaziosa, con spazio contenitivo e due finestre. Per qualche motivo, la proprietaria ha lasciato la stanza con la porta aperta: abbiamo dovuto subito chiuderla per il cattivo odore che ne usciva. Del resto, niente di strano in quanto dentro c'era un disordine indescrivibile.... Peccato che la proprietaria sia così poco attenta al comfort dei suoi ospiti, perché la posizione è comoda sia per il parcheggio davanti a casa con il pass da lei fornitoci, sia per la breve distanza dalle due stazione della metropolitana. Poco comoda, invece, per la spesa, in quanto vicino non vi sono grossi supermercati, ma solo piccoli supermercati locali, che, comunque, bisogna raggiungere in auto. In conclusione, devo dire che, purtroppo, ...non vedevamo l'ora di andare via!!!

Perfect for a visit to London

We stayed for 5 days while visiting London. The location is great. An easy walk to the underground and you can get anywhere you need to go. The flat is clean, comfortable and quiet. Stella was great, helpful and easy to contact!

Stella is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying in her apartment. We could use kitchen, washing machine, Stella provided everything for the bathroom, tea, coffee etc. We liked neighborhood and transportation around. Close to the city center.
