About this property
Myrtle Cottage - sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
Myrtle Cottage is a traditional, stone cottage, nestled just above the Victory Inn, in the heart of the village, 50m from the harbour. Perfect for couples or a small family wishing to make the most of the picturesque village of St Mawes. There are 2 ample bedrooms and a shower room on the first floor, and an open-plan feel to the living area downstairs with an open fireplace, which will warm up those winter evenings. There is a delightful little bench on the south-facing patio that receives sun till early afternoon and is a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee.
St Mawes is one of the most exclusive traditional villages in the Country, with a wealth of activities within close reach. Historic Castles from the era of Henry VIII, glistening blue waters, bustling beaches, Cornish Pubs, award-winning restaurants, amazing coastal walks, regular ferries to Falmouth and St Anthony, little motor boats, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards, all available for rental. (During the season) The Roseland peninsula has a huge variety of places to explore, there are many beaches, some with golden sands, some with shingle, all with a splattering of rock pools. There are secluded coves, towering cliffs, and the famous lighthouse at St Anthony. (Fraggle Rock for everyone of a certain age!) The artists' haven of Portscatho is well worth a visit, as is Veryan, with its famous round houses.
Accommodation
Entrance level: Enter into living room with comfortable seating, coffee table, open fire and flat screen TV. Small galley kitchen with fitted units and appliances. Dining room with dining table and chairs and stars leading to:

Outside: Small, south facing, patio area with bench. A separate car parking space 10m up a very steep section of Grove Hill. You will need reasonable ground clearance on your car to use this space. There are other commercial car parks in the village.
