About this property
Delightful home with balcony overlooking the sea. Easy access, Free car park
A reverse plan property. Downstairs are 2 bedrooms, one double and one with twin single beds plus a bathroom recently refurbished containing toilet, spacious shower and hand basin. A staircase goes upstairs to an open plan room which has a carpetted sitting area with 2 sofas one of which is a double sofabed plus a leather swivel chair. The sitting area has a view of the sea including the lighthouse and sea wall. French doors open onto a balcony with a table and two chairs again with the sea view. The open plan room has a large wooden dining table with six chairs. The kitchen is well equiped with cooking equipment china and cutlery for six people. There is a built in electric oven and induction hob with an integrated chimney hood, a 8.1 cu.ft. fully integrated fridge freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave, toaster, kettle and a washer dryer. The kitchen and dining area have a wooden floor for ease of maintenance. A DAB/FM radio is available, a television with access to Freeview channels and internet access. There is a multi region DVD player available with a selection of quirky DVD's available in the drawer of the unit beside the swivel chair.
The property benefits from easy access, being on the same level as the harbour, very helpful for any guests who are less ambulant. There is a car space provided immediately outside the gate to the property.
Picturesque views of chapel point from the sitting room, the property is nestled in the beautiful working fishing village of Mevagissey. Mevagissey is full of pretty little shops, a bakery, provisions, meat, vegetables and delicatesen available from Mores. Excellent fish and chips all year and a special grilled fish bar in high season. Excellent eateries, we recomment Salamander and Tea on the Quay is great for breakfast and cream teas.
There is an ATM in the village post office located in the general store. Most shops are now taking contactless debit cards. You can get cash back from Mores fruit and vegetable shop in the village.
Welcome to a whole new pace of life.
Recent addition is a bed settee in the open plan upstairs. This now makes it easier if you have teenagers of both sexes who will not share a room. If you require a cot please ask as a travel cot can be provided with advance notice. A stair gate is available in the cupboard opposite the bathroom.
We are pleased to announce a refurbished bathroom is available from May 2018. This has been specifically designed with disabled people in mind. There is a small lip to get into shower but shower is big enough for a seat if required. Let us know if you want one and it can be supplied.
The property has benefitted from new carpets and flooring throughout over 2019-20. Enhacements for 2021 include new lights throughout with dimmer switches in the bedrooms. In 2022 we painted throughout inside and in 2023 the property has benefitted from external redecoration

About the host
Hosted by Kate Konrad
Presently I am working as a Methodist Minister in Yeovil. I have spent most of my adult life in Plymouth. I love the thought of people enjoying our home. When we get the chance to come down I feel relaxed in an hour
Why they chose this property
This is our family home which we hope you enjoy. My husband is less ambulant and this property suits him very well. It has easy access to East Quay and crabbing infront of She Sells.
What makes this property unique
Reverse plan accomodation means there are fantastic views of the sea wall, lighthouse, chapel point, and the coastline from the open plan sitting/dining room and kitchen area. You can sit on the balcony and soak up the sun's rays for most of the day.
