Located in St Austell, this holiday home is in a rural area and by the sea. Caerhays Castle and Pinetum Park and Pine Lodge Gardens are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Eden Project and Mevagissey Aquarium. Lost Gardens of Heligan and St Austell Leisure Centre are also worth visiting. Thank you I am so glad you and your family enjoyed Blue Waters and Mevagissey. It was lovely to meet you and I hope you continue to enjoy your holiday.
As others have mentioned the view from the conservatory is stunning over the sea, town, harbour, surrounding fields and the valley. We were able to do several long walks straight from the house without taking the car and it's just a few minutes to walk into town and quay. The house is clean, comfortable, spacious and provided all we needed. The hostess was very helpful.

Thank you Rosie, I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and Blue Waters provided all you needed for a comfortable stay in Mevagissey. I hope we can welcome you and your husband again one day.
Excellent location parking good just a short walk downhill to harbour. House clean although cupboards smelt of damp. No large supermarkets near by need the use of a car. Locals not always welcoming suffered some abuse covid related

Thank you for your review I am sorry to hear you experienced some Covid related abuse from my own village I can only apologise for this. I hope this will not put you off coming to Mevagissey again. Kind regards Karen
The property was terrific and we enjoyed the week. We do have concerns about the parking, an accidental foot on the accelerator rather than the brake could be life threatening, a higher barrier would help. A map of the village (shop) or directions would have been nice as we were unable to bring perishable basic provisions. Of course, exploring is part of the fun. With all that Blue Waters is a lovely property as is Mevagissey itself, perfect for exploring the many beautiful local houses & gardens:-Trewithen, Pencarrow and Pinetum stood out among the, more popular (&expensive) local ones. Ben's excellent Fish & Chips did two meals, scallops from the harbour hut and the curry were also good. We hope to return next year.

Thank you for your kind comments- I take on board your concerns about the parking and the local map but glad to hear you enjoyed it enough to return.
The property is has two large bedrooms with a double bed in one and two single beds in the other.
The house is well fitted out with every thing you could possibly need from a TV to washing machine and fridge.
The house is situated on Battery Terrace which sits above Mevagissey Harbour, giving great views.
My partner and I stayed for a week and really enjoyed our stay although we had a couple of rainy days it did not dampen our stay.
Karen the lady who runs the property was very nice and communication was very good leading up to and during our holiday.
I would have no hesitation to recommend it and I would go back again back there again.

Thank you Paul I am so pleased to hear you had a good week and Blue Waters lived up to your expectations. I hope we can welcome you back another time 😊
Ideally situated not too far from and right above the harbour in Mevagissey. There’s always something going on to interest you - boats coming and going etc. etc.. Lovely accommodation. The conservatory was our everything area apart from sleeping, so as not to miss anything happening in the harbour and village. Our host was ideal.
Fabulous location overlooking the historic harbour. Owing to the spacious and comfortable front conservatory the harbour activities can be viewed in all weathers. Apart from driving to The Eden project we didnt really get our car out all week as there are great walks all around Meva. Meva has a great selection of pubs and restaurants whilst the property has good facilities if you want to eat in. Blue Waters is warm, spacious, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Loved it. The host was very responsive when contacted and kindly posted my sunglasses on as I'd left them behind. A great find. Highly recommended. Graham & Loretta, Hadleigh, Suffolk.

Thank you Graham for your kind comments. I am so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at Blue Waters and appreciated all that the property and Mevagissey have to offer. I very much look forward to welcoming you both back in the future. Kind regards Karen
Excellent location and a stunning view, Mevagissey is very hilly and this property had a wonderful view over the harbour. The host was very good with communication and even lent us their own bath towels when I did not bring any (my error as I assumed bath towels were included, but only hand towels available). The only negative point for us, which is personal preference, was that we found the double bed to be uncomfortable. It seemed very soft and foam like (although it was a thick mattress), but others might prefer this type of soft mattress. You can walk to Mevagissey beach (which is very quiet) from the property in about 10-15 minutes, be warned as there are lots of steps down to the beach and no facilities, but it was lovely and quiet even in the school summer holidays. Carlyon Bay (a 20 minute drive away) was a super find, with excellent facilities and eateries. All in all a good stay and I would recommend this property to other holiday visitors. The next door neighbours were very lovely and pleasant too which is always nice.
Just back from a weeks stay and we have already reserved for next year.
Lovely comfortable house, it isn’t modern but entirely functional for a weeks family stay. The parking space is a big bonus too in Mevagissey. Just make sure you don’t go right down the hill when trying to find the property!
The proximity to the harbour is amazing and the views are incredible, sitting in the sun watching the harbour every morning and evening was magical. Missing it already.
Thank you Karen for making it all so easy to arrive and the information in the run up to the trip.

Excellent property with beautiful views out to sea and over Mevagissey. Perfect spot to sit and watch the workings of a ancient fishing village. House was lovely and clean and had all we wanted. Short walk down to the harbour with plenty of places to eat.
Good communication with Karen. Looking forward to going back in a few weeks time.
Lovely house in amazing spot, near local shops and restaurants. Quiet beautiful family place. If we visit Cornwall again definitely we will stay in Mevagissey and Karen house!

On the 'Sunnyside' of Mevagissey- quite and clean house and ideally suited for a 3 minute walk down to the quayside shops and eateries. Lovely conservatory offering panoramic view overlooking the harbour and surroundings. Owner delightful and helpful.

Views to die for spent hours watching the harbour from the conservatory comfortable seating. Excellent parking easy access big bonus as driving round Mevagissey is a nightmare. Nice warm cottage for winter break. Karen was an excellent manger even phoned us when we left things behind and offered to send them on. Will go back again.
In Mevagissey gibt es fußläufig alles, was man braucht. Der Ort selbst ist schon sehenswert.
