About this property
Cosy house on a quiet estate in Truro
Well appointed, very comfortable, semi-detached house perfectly located for exploring the beautiful county of Cornwall. There is private off-street parking for up to two cars.
Just want to chill out? In the lounge there are books, DVDs and a large smart TV. For those colder days, a wonderful wood burner; perfect when you want to curl up on the sofa with a favourite book.
Fancy creating your own tasty meals? There is a fully-equipped kitchen and an array of cookery books. Dine in or picnic on the patio - you can start enjoying your holiday from the moment that you arrive.
The beds are super comfy; two of the bedrooms have kingsize beds, the third has a bunk bed with full-size single mattresses. I can provide a sturdy cot for a baby.
But of course you will have chosen to come to Cornwall for its beautiful scenery. Can't decide where to go? Message me, I will be happy to help you choose. My home is ideally located for all the best places to go in the county.

About the host
Hosted by Hanno

I am a retired healthcare professional. I was a chef for a while - hence the dozens of recipe books and the well-equipped kitchen. It is a joy to be a host - helping people have a good break is such a privilege.
Why they chose this property
Cornwall is beautiful. The north coast is rugged and has some excellent surfing and great beaches. The south coast is more gentle, but is also glorious.
There are so many places to go inland, far too many to list here. There's open fields, mysterious moors, woodland walks.
Cornwall is famous for its artists, both local and those who have relocated here, attracted by the unique light and atmosphere of the county.
Cornwall harvests some of the finest produce from the land and sea. Find outstanding meat, vegetables, cheese, bread and pastries in the farmers' markets held weekly in a variety of places. And those products are used in the best way by the dozens of wonderful places to eat. From the tiny mobile kitchens serving imaginative and tasty street food to the Michelin starred high end restaurants, eating in Cornwall is so good. I am really happy to make recommendations, tailored to your interests and budget. I also leave a book of my favourite destinations on the dining table.
Truro is central, making all parts of this lovely county accessible. The city of Truro is compact - drive in, park up and stroll around. There are all the major retailers, and, on Wednesdays and Saturdays there is a farmers' market in the centre of town. There are also plenty of great places to eat. The museum has recently been refurbished, and is well worth a visit. And you can take a boat trip down the river Fal, a great way to get a different view of this delightful part of the world.

What makes this property unique
My house is super cozy. I aim to provide as much peace and comfort in my home as possible. So, when you are not out energetically enjoying the delights of the coast, woods, towns and villages, you can find tranquility and relaxation here; best of all, in the cooler months, in front of the log fire.
The lounge has a big soft sofa and a couple of squishy armchairs. There's a big smart TV, blu ray/DVD player, an eclectic collection of books. There's an easy-to-use wood burner that is just glorious to curl up in front of when the weather is a bit damp or cool.
The conservatory (or sun room) is the place to be when you want to stay inside, but want the light. A Dyson airblade fan keeps you cool in summer, and adds warmth in winter. There is a futon couch and a papasan chair; both very relaxing. However, if you have work to do (even though you are on holiday!) here is the place to do it. There is a big desk and a proper office chair.
The beds are very comfortable. In two bedrooms there are king size doubles. The third bedroom has a bunk bed, with two full size single mattresses. Shutters block nearly all the light from outside for those who like sleeping in the dark. I can provide a sturdy travel cot.
The bathrooms are furnished with nice products, there is endless hot water and lots of big towels. There is no bathtub, but I do have a baby bath for infants. The tiled floors are heated, for that extra luxurious feeling.
The kitchen is very well-equipped and I offer to supply (no charge) Cornish produce for guests to make their first cooked breakfast. There is my home-made marmalade, too. You can eat in the breakfast area of the kitchen, around the dining table in the lounge, and on the patio. I can provide a couple of IKEA highchairs.
Outside there is a small patio and a lawn - the garden is gated, so it is safe for children. There is free off-road parking for up to two cars.
