About this property

Tresillian Lodge, Tresillian Lodge *Sauna*Hot Tub*Waterfront*privacy

Nestled high in the whispering tree tops, deep in the midst of a private valley surrounded by ancient medieaval oak woodland planted to build the Cornish ships of old. As the deer sup from  the babbling brook and the songbirds chirrup their enamouring call around you lies "Tresillian Lodge".
Sit on the balcony and let time pass you by. Watch the sunrise and set from your private hot tub as you gaze over the rolling fields.
Hewn from the very oak of the woodland itself. Built in a bespoke design with oak arched vaulted ceilings, oak parquet flooring it feels as if you are one with the very woods that you are ensconsed in. There is no sound but nature.  With woodland walks in all directions, access is available to the stream and paddock where the lambs frolick.
It is a mere 20 minutes to the soft, warm and cosetting South coast of the Roseland peninsula, and little more to reach the rugged Atlantic on the North. A surfers paradise Only 10 minutes into the centre of Truro. You've got it all.!
There is a sauna on site available by appointment. All linen and furnishings are of the finest quality.  Kate my house manager (a true Cornish Maid!) will be available to offer her local knowledge wherever it may be needed to assist you with excursions, dining and secret places to visit. She will also be available for any queries to do with the lodge and will run through everything upon your arrival to give you the warmest of Kernow welcomes!
The lodge lies 1 km down a single track lane which can at certain times of year get quite bumpy. So low slung sports cars are not to be advised.
There are no near neighbours apart from the mediaeval mill some distance away. This means that you and your party will have the utmost privacy, and discretion is guaranteed.  There are several local pubs in the vicinty including 2 on the waterfront. They are all walkable depending on how energetic one feels. There is nothing better to put on your walking boots and stride off over the undulating hills and feel the Cornish breeze upon your face, or stroll down the Fal estuary to see where the great Tresillian docks and quays once were. Perhaps head to St Mawes and take the ferry across to Falmouth for an afternoon's shopping and lunch, and treat yourself to a private water taxi to bring you home.
We really hope that you enjoy your stay with us and hope that in time it will feel like a true home from home.
Best Wishes
The Tresillian Lodge Family x

Our Cornwall Adventure
Highly recommended!! We were looking for a quiet retreat from which to have our adventure and Tresillian Lodge did not disappoint. It’s hidden along an off beaten track, but don’t let that put you off. The directions provided are easy and clear to follow. The fact that the lodge is hidden in the treetops makes it all the more exciting. When we arrived, we were thrilled. The lodge was immaculately clean, all mod-cons and eco friendly, which we loved. It was everything and more than described online. We spent our week zip wiring, walking, climbing and cycling the Camel Trail from Wadebridge. In the middle of our week, the wettest day, we chose to have a rest day at ‘home’ and enjoyed the sauna, hot tub and making dinner using ingredients from the local supermarket (Waitrose - yay). Thanks for a fabulous stay Adrian, Joanna and the Team. X

What a Lodge! Cornwall's Incredible Oak forests & Beaches
My family and I had an amazing vacation at this incredible well appointed Lodge. So conveniently located for all the main attractions and only a stones throw from the beaches on both sides of Cornwall. The creeks are amazing, and the setting of the Lodge is so tucked away and private with every mod con that you need. We loved it here and enjoyyed heading off for walk from the Estate. As a family we couldnot recommend highly enough! Thanks to all of the Lodge team for an experience to remember!

Excellent location - great host!
What a place, if you’re looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of normal daily life this is it! From the minute you leave the road onto the track you would never know the house existed… then when you get there you are transported to your own oasis, the house is immaculate, then there is the balcony decking, hot tub and sauna! Set in the woodland with a stream running past led to lots of little adventures! If I could give more than 5 stars I would, great location!

What a place! Right in the centre of the action!
We've stayed once before, but were astounded at the place. It's got everything that we wanted. We were a group of 6 professionals craving peace and quiet from the "Big Smoke", and Boy did it deliver! See you soon Adrian . Your Team and the facilities at "The Lodge" were outstanding. Back of the net!

Couldn't have asked for more. The surroundings were stunning. Property immaculate. Perfect location
We woke up everyday to the sound of songbirds. Adrian's place is down a long private lane deep in the forest. You feel enveloped by nature. All the facilities were just as described. You can see how much lova and effort has gone into the place. As a gropup of adults looking for relaxation for the hustle and bustle of the City couldn't have asked for more. It's perfectly located to reach everywhere in Cornwall especially the beaches. The pub in the village was a revelation with it incredible outdoor bbq and smoked food. We simply didn't want to leave. We shall most definitely be back very very soon. Thank you so much for everything.

Having worked in design for most of my life, I always wanted to create something from the ground up. I travel extensively and have lived in numerous slightly off grid countries/places. I never tire of experiencing new cultures, food and languages.

Why they chose this property

It was always a dream of mine to put my designs into practice.

What makes this property unique

Only you as our guests can decide upon that.

For me however it would be the peace, solitude and opportunity to reconnect with nature whilst having all of the amenities for modern living on the doorstep.
