Walking the coastal path
We booked the cottage to allow us access to the coastal path. It was perfect for all drop offs and pick ups! Weather was rather against us, but luckily the cottage had good washing facilities and we had dry clothes for every day. Everyone slept well. We also used the local pub twice for an evening meal and we were grateful for its close proximity. All in all a good comfortable stay which everyone enjoyed.

Beautifully restored house in quiet location
Lovely old building restored to very high quality. The south facing garden area was a delight. So quiet, restful and comfortable. The outhouse was a delight to sit in out of the sun. The local pub did nice food and was only a few steps away.

Another wonderful stay
This was our second visit to Nantuat Stables (which speaks for itself), and it didn’t disappoint. It is an absolutely beautiful property, equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday (we were a party of 6, spanning 3 generations ranging from 9 to nearly 80). It is situated in beautiful, peaceful countryside with a great pub on your doorstep serving fantastic food, with the convenience of being less than 10 minutes to several lovely beaches, and other major attractions nearby. Sue is a welcoming and helpful host and I couldn’t recommend this property more.

Why they chose this property

St Ewe is an unspoiled and quiet village close to some of Cornwall's prettiest villages and the beautiful Cornish South Coast. Spend your days discovering and exploring the villages of The Roseland Peninsula, spotting ponies on the coast path or watching the fishing boats in Mevagissey Harbour. Garden enthusiasts are spoiled for choice with The Lost Gardens of Heligan just round the corner, Caerhayes Gardens down the road, and then there is The Eden Project. The Stables are a short walk from the excellent village pub, so if you want a break from cooking you can always eat there.

What makes this property unique

The cottage is in the middle of a traditional Cornish village. With views over farmland, a pretty church and a great local pub, St Ewe is a welcoming and beautiful base for your holidays. St Ewe was home for many of the original gardeners at the Lost Gardens of Heligan, just up the road.
