About this property
COASTMAN'S NEST, family friendly, with open fire in Mawgan Porth
Coastman's Nest in Mawgan Porth, Cornwall sleeps eight people in four bedrooms.
Coastman's Nest is an outstanding house located in the popular town of Mawgan Porth in Cornwall. With a balcony looking down the coast onto the sea and surrounding countryside, Coastman's Nest is perfect for the family to take relaxation to the next level. The master en-suite bedroom has far-reaching sea views as do the two separate living spaces. There is a light-filled open-plan living space, with a well-equipped kitchen for the cook to crack on - even if they do get distracted by the magnificent views that leads out onto a large terrace. Loungers and a barbecue outside make it more than ideal for all the family or a group to enjoy their trip to the seaside. A Smart TV awaits anyone in both living areas, with places to settle upstairs and downstairs. There is a Panasonic soundbar in the spacious upstairs lounge with a corner sofa, so there’s plenty of space to relax and watch a film or just watch the ever-changing sea and clouds. A selection of games and jigsaws are also on offer to keep everyone entertained. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with a barbecue and dining table under a pergola with festoon lighting, making it ideal for leisurely al fresco dining well into the evening as you watch the sun go down over the sea. Once the garden has been indulged in, there are four bedrooms for all to choose from. It makes for the perfect opportunity to rest and prepare for another joyous day on the beach or exploring the coast and countryside. A short stroll will take you to The Bedruthan Hotel which has a choice of 2 restaurants to cure any appetite as well as any thirst needs. Or there is the adult-only Scarlet Hotel for that special dinner with stunning sea views. Any essentials can be found at shops in the village centre close by as well as The Merrymoor pub, Catch restaurant and The Park. The renowned surf school King Surf is based in the village where lessons for all abilities can be booked. Beach equipment can also be hired from Bettys Surf shop next door. Mawgan Porth's golden sandy beach is a stone’s throw away, where building sandcastles, bodyboarding, surfing, or letting the waves ripple under your toes, can take up your days. Mawgan Porth also rewards you with spectacular year-round sunsets and if you're lucky, a sighting of a passing humpback whale. However, make sure to go on a gorgeous stroll along the Coast Path at Carnewas at Bedruthan National Trust. Or head south along the path for a longer walk to the stunning Watergate Bay which also has a selection of refreshment options awaiting you. End the day by taking in the pleasant sights of The Japanese Garden in St Mawgan which is at its best in the spring and autumn. To change things up, Newquay is a short distance away and is ideal for a day of activities centered around some creatures. Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium will bring amazement to the eyes of the kids. Once they’ve taken it all in, close the day out with a go at Pirate's Quest Adventure Golf. Take it to the next level in Padstow at their Sealife Safari, with the chance to go on a boating tour. Or get up close and personal with some lobsters at the National Lobster Hatchery also in Padstow. When the weird and wonderful sea animals are enough, take in the gleaming views at one of the seven bays on the way back from Padstow, including Trevone Bay and Constantine Bay. Treat yourself to a special holiday by booking Coastman's Nest now.
