Why they chose this property
Aberdour is a very friendly little village on the Fife coast. The area is rural and beautiful, but also within easy reach of Edinburgh. You can just jump on a train to get straight into the city centre.
Aberdour is on the Fife Coastal Path which passes about 5 min walk from the apartment. It is a fab route and you can easily walk part of it and return back to the apartment by public transport.
Aberdour has 2 beautiful beaches that are very popular, especially when it's sunny. Silversands Beach and Blacksands Beach are popular with wild swimmers and families. We are very lucky in that we often see seals. Dolphins, porpoises and whales can occasionally be spotted as well. You are best to join one of the local facebook groups for alerts.
Aberdour Castle is a very popular attraction and St. Fillan's Church is worth a visit, too.
There are a few interesting shops in Aberdour selling local souvenirs and the specialist Drinks Cabinet is very popular. A great place to try Aberdour Gin, too.
There is lots to do for children: several playparks, beaches, Sensory Garden, woodland walks, etc.
The annual Aberdour Festival is a great event. Make sure you book accommodation well in advance.
