The unit was very close to several transit stations which were very convenient when getting around. The place was clean and well appointed. The hallway bathroom was a little narrow which detracted from its use. Overall we were very happy staying there.
Apartment was lovely. Inside was very clean with spacious bedrooms. Bathrooms are "city" small/tight. Just to note, there were few amenities ie: no paper towels/napkins to get you started, no bath washcloths, no hooks or counterspace in baths, very basic kitchen utensils/dishware.
Outside front entrance was a bit messy on arrival which was disappointing. We were told we could not check in early because of cleaning crew yet it didn't look like they were recently there. All in all apt was very nice and uber friendly to the city. Parking is hard so if you have a car, find a spot and try not to move it for the weeknd.
This property was fantastic. Clean, well maintained, the interior is large and comfortable. The kitchen is large and you could easily make meals if desired. Has all the amenities as far as laundry, etc.
The owners give great instructions on how to use everything as well as how to check in a check out making it a painless experience.
My only issue is not in the owners control: the Leith Walk is totally torn up right now - it is a mess of construction so spending time there is not pleasant.
This is a nice, clean and large unit. Very comfortable and easily within walking distance from great restaurants, convenience stores and groceries. It's on a fairly quiet street (the seagulls made all the noise)! 2nd bedroom has no closet to hang clothing and bathroom sinks are quite small, but otherwise a lovely experience. We would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay in this great apartment, just a block over from Leith Walk, and a short easy walk to the Royal Mile. Spacious rooms and bathrooms, fantastic kitchen and everything we could have needed. The beds were comfortable with quality linens. Ben provided clear instructions for a self check in. We look forward to returning on our next trip to Edinburgh!
The flat is lovely, spacious and clean and very conveniently located. Our hosts were warm, welcoming and helpful. Our only challenge was, when we arrived at the flat we couldn't access it initially as the code to the lock box containing the keys had been posted incorrectly on the VRBO website. However, when advised of the situation, our hosts were very apologetic and responded immediately by giving us the correct code.

Superb Property in Central Edinburgh
We (a family of three) had one overnight stay in this property. It is very clean, comfortable & well-equipped. The flat is spacious, yet has a very traditional feel, which I liked. The area is residential & quiet. We were entertained by grey squirrels (which I actually consider to be vermin! I'm a red squirrel fan!) running along the top of the wall, outside of the kitchen window. Being in Leith, it's close to every sort of amenity you might want - good restaurants, theatres, bars, cinemas & pubs. Fans of Rebus will appreciate the proximity to Gayfield Square police HQ. Parking is free outside the property & Kay's Cabs are quick & reliable transport to locations not within walking distance - like Mother India Cafe in Infirmary Street, where the food is just divine. The flat is about 1.5 miles from Holyrood & the Scottish Parliament - worth a visit. Getting back to the accomodation, the beds were super-comfortable, and we had a great nights sleep. Avoid Hemma on Holyrood Road for brunch, as it's sub-standard & mega-expensive!

We LOVED the flat. It was pretty and well appointed.
...however, the master bathroom was very inefficient. The neighborhood was clearly one in transition. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful.

Thanks for the review - we are glad you liked the flat.
We're always looking to improve the place - but unsure what is meant by an inefficient bathroom. The master bedroom is large with an en-suite shower and toilet and walk-in wardrobe.
The neighbourhood, Leith Walk, is certainly getting more and more exciting. It's now considered to be the most exciting part of Edinburgh. There are literally hundreds of independent coffee shops and restaurants including some of the best in Edinburgh.
