The house is a magnificent 4 bedroomed Georgian townhouse, designed by William Playfair over three floors. Princes Street is a 10 minute walk away and Calton Hill is at the end of the road with views over the city. There are excellent travel links with Waverley station is 10 minutes by foot and the tram stop to the airport is a 5 minute walk away. EV charger available.
There is a stone flagged entrance hall leading to the sitting room, next door is a well appointed breakfasting kitchen. There is also a utility room and WC on this floor. There is an elegant stone stair crowned with a cupola which leads to an impressive drawing room with two full height windows overlooking Windsor Street. There is a double bedroom on this floor and large family bathroom. A further stair takes you to two double bedrooms and a shower room. It’s a great place to be, very central with the city centre a short walk away. There are a superb range of shops just a short walk away including John Lewis, Harvey Nichols, Mulberry and St James Quarter. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby as well as art galleries, cinemas and theatres.
Getting around
We are very close to the city centre, you can easily walk to Princes Street or if you prefer the bus stop is very close by, a 2 minute walk. The tram stop is a 5 minute walk away, it goes straight to the airport (40 minutes) or down to Leith, Waverley station is 10 minutes away. There is metered parking in front of the house or parking can be arranged including an electric charger
