Grandview Heights Bungalow

Wonderful quiet, private bungalow with very nice outdoor space where we enjoyed breakfast under a gazebo every morning. Location, location, location! Just a five minute walk to the Convention Center and downtown. This is the second time we’ve stayed here and hope to return again next year. Sparkling clean with all the comforts of home!

Just like home

Andrew's bungalow was perfect for our weeklong stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and the unit is stocked with whatever you might need for your stay. Andrew was super responsive (came over in five minutes) when we couldn't figure out how to work the TV remote.The neighborhood is quiet and lovely. We felt totally safe walking around at night. The yard is private and large. We enjoyed our breakfasts in the gazebo listening to the birds chirp. This was our third time staying at Andrew's bungalow and hope to stay again next year!

Great Location and wonderful experience

Andrew was great to deal with and very responsive! We loved the area and the house has everything one would need. It is very small but we knew that coming into it and it was quite adequate. We were disappointed that the hot tub did not work and that we were not informed but Andrew was responsive and did his best to make us happy. The outdoor area could use some better lighting (we went and purchased our own and strung lights up) but other than that it was a wonderful experience and we plan to return!!

Location?

Location was good and bad. Neighborhood was safe and attractive. Convenient to City Place and other destinations on our trip but the proximity to the railroad tracks is disturbing. Especially on the day of our departure beginning at 5 AM trains, horns, tracks were vibrating the house and were continuous every 15 minutes for hours. That picture of the bedroom is deceiving. You cannot easily access the left side of bed without climbing over your partner as the foot board is nearly up against the wall. Window air conditioners are noisy and marginally effective. Cancellation policy was not as flexible as other properties I've rented.

I am sorry to hear about these issues for your stay. I never received any communication from you regarding any of these issues during your stay, nor have I received these issues from other guests. I was shocked and stunned to learn the house was vibrating from a nearby train. The walls and roof are concreate block. The windows and doors are hurricane-impact doors and windows. I will have a contractor look at the property to assess any vibration from the horns and tracks. Addressing the issue with the bed, I would have replaced the bed with a bed of your liking. I will look into replacing the bed now. If I had known about any problems with the window units, I would have replaced them as well. Lastly, you never asked before or during your stay to cancel the stay. I will review and update the cancellation policy. Overall, none of these issues were communicated to me at any time and I wish you would have communicated any (and all) of these issues to me directly while you were staying here. I work diligently to make this place a comfortable and appealing place for guests to stay. I will use this review to make needed changes.

Enter with caution

Great location, great house, perfect for me and my wife and what we were looking for. Sofa bed and throw rug need to be updated, they were/are disgusting. Looks like the throw rug has been used as an outside floor mat and not cleaned in years. Sofa bed was also disgusting, couldn't/wouldn't sit on it unless absolutely necessary and then the feathers in the cushions would come through and poke you all over. Cushions at the outside gazebo were also disgusting, resulted in my wife refusing to sit on them. Grill also didn't work. Purchased some fish for grilling and was let down because the grill didn't work. Finally, with a small amount of upgrade and a lot of TLC this could/would be a wonderful place to stay regularly, however until such time as the furniture is replaced and the gazebo cushions are cleaned I would refrain from booking my vacation at this property.

I am shocked and surprised you didn't communicate these issues to me immediately. First, you didn't mention any of these concerns to me at all. I would have replaced any broken or dirty furniture if you had mentioned it to me. Or, I would have immediately sent over professional cleaners to clean any rugs, furniture, or outside cushions. All of these issues have been rectified. In addition, if you had even bothered to mention there was an issue with the grill, I would have replaced the grill on the same day you notified me of it. Yet, you did not inform me of any issues with the grill. Lastly, there is tile flooring. I could have removed the rug for your stay. Again, this is why tenants should communicate if they have ANY issues at the property.

The best one yet

I’ve been staying in temporary living for months and this was the best one yet for longer stays. Thoughtfully appointed with everything needed to cook is an underrated feature since restaurants have become so expensive.

Our West Pam Beach Vacation

Everything we might need was there. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. Everything was close, even getting there from the airport (Fort Lauderdale) to the house was a breeze using the train. We enjoy the stay a lot, and since we have family in the area might go back a few more times.

Thank you so much for a great stay! Andrew checked with us several times throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The place was charming and perfect for our holiday getaway. Our furry companions loved the yard and neighborhood walks. The neighbors are very friendly and it was nice to see all the people walking their dogs. We will certainly look to book again in the future. Being so close to City Place was awesome and a nice walk.

We had a wonderful time in West Palm Beach!! This HomeAway rental was great and included everything we needed to enjoy the area. Perfect location to be able to walk to many attractions, where parking could be a problem/ or expensive...such as City Place, Clementis St., Kravis Center, Norton Museum of Art and Sculpture Garden and the Intercoastal Waterway. 10 minutes to the Palm Beach public beach and/or Rt 95. The Grandview Heights neighborhood is adorable, where we enjoyed a morning walk almost everyday. Andrew was an excellent host and responded in a timely manner to correct the few issues that arose during our month stay. The place is small, but had everything we needed, with a well stocked kitchen for cooking as well as a full size laundry... and 2 bikes to further enjoy the area. There is also a large side yard with a gas grill and eating area, an open but sheltered area with outdoor furniture and a Jacuzzi for outdoor relaxation!!

This bungalow was perfect for our week’s visit to West Palm Beach. The location is so convenient to I-95, City Place, & Palm Beach Island, we could spend all of our time exploring & relaxing, not driving. The house was very clean & although we didn’t really do much meal prep, I did notice the kitchen was well stocked with many amenities. All the little extras like both a Kerurig & coffeemaker, washer & dryer, bikes & helmets, and secure off street parking made for a very relaxing vacation. We highly recommend this rental.

Cozy, Quaint and and great location!

This is a clean and cozy apartment-type home with a huge backyard! My mom was visiting her grandson who goes to PBA and the proximity was quiet helpful - my son skateboarded over in a few minutes. Area is nice and accessible to everything. Andrew was pleasant, attentive and efficient. The place has everything you need with many new appliances. Will keep in mind for future stays. Price was just right. Thank you.
