About this property
Cornish Cottage - Truro City Centre
A beautiful mid-terrace old Cornish cottage situated in central Truro with two comfortable bedrooms, bathroom with walk-in shower, lounge, kitchen, dining room, private garden and off-street parking.
Just a short walk into the centre of Truro city and within easy reach of the Hall for Cornwall, Truro Cathedral, Cornwall Museum and Art gallery as well as a lovely selection of shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets and parks. Truro is a great base to explore more of Cornwall with either coast accessible by car in less than 30 mins.
The cottage has been lovingly renovated inside and out (fully in July 2020 and a refresh in 2024) and has a contemporary, coastal-inspired interior.
The ground floor living space is comprised of a cosy lounge with a 3 seater sofa and armchair, smart TV and an open fire; a dining room with table and chairs to seat 4, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, AEG oven, ceramic hob, kettle and toaster, fridge freezer and microwave. Accessed through the kitchen door is a lovely little private garden with decked area and table and chairs for dining as well as a charcoal BBQ for guests' use.
Upstairs you will find a generous master bedroom at the front of the property with king sized bed, wardrobe, dressing table and stool. At the rear of the property there is a second bedroom with a small double bed that overlooks the garden and a bathroom with walk-in shower cubicle and cupboards for storage.
A breakfast starter pack is included with tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter and muesli.
There is off-road parking for one car at the rear of the property. Parking is available for small-medium sized cars only due to narrow access. Access is via an unmade-up lane at the rear of the cottage. Not suitable for large cars or vans - but there is plenty of paid-for parking available nearby.
Guests can enjoy the privacy of the whole house and garden for the duration of their stay.
This is an old cottage dating back to around 1840, and so the staircase is narrow and steep. There is a sturdy handrail to hold onto!
