About this property
Drift Cottage, Salthouse, Norfolk
Located in an enviable position in the heart of Salthouse, Drift Cottage has it all: stylish, spacious accommodation for eight, a lovely, one-acre enclosed garden with countryside views to the rear, stunning coastal views as far as the eye can see to the front and driveway parking for up to four cars - and you can bring your hound.
This gorgeous brick and flint detached property has extremely sophisticated and roomy accommodation set over two floors with a separate annex in the grounds. In the main house there are three lovely first floor bedrooms, two of which boast open views across the marshes to the coast - the Master has a super-king bed and en-suite shower and the other two have king-size beds and share the family shower room, with a large, walk-in shower. The Boat House annex has a ground floor bedroom and shower room. The hub of the house is the spacious light and airy sitting room with a cosy wood burning stove and Smart television (again with those marsh views!) and the well-equipped kitchen /diner because both rooms spill on the rear patio and enclosed garden. Great for the children and the dog, you can also can enjoy al fresco dining on warmer evenings with a charcoal barbecue and garden furniture. There's a snug/ family room too, which has another Smart television, sofa and desk for working from home, plus the mezzanine level in The Boat House annex also has a more peaceful working from home station away from the main house - it might be quieter, but the view might be distracting!
With the 360 views, the beach only a few minutes' walk away and the local pub and shop also within easy walking distance, you won't ever need to leave Salthouse! However, if you are feeling adventurous and do feel like travelling further afield, you can take the Coasthopper Bus right from Salthouse to explore coastal villages and beaches in either direction and for wildlife enthusiasts, be sure to visit the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre just down the road at Cley Marshes.
Drift Cottage is also available as a low occupancy sleeping six people, with the annex closed off: Search for: Drift Cottage (Salthouse) (6).
