The front section includes a fireplace wall with an electric stove-style fire and a wall-mounted Smart TV, complemented by two 2-seater sofas for cosy evenings in. Just a few steps up, the raised area offers a table with four comfortable chairs—perfect for enjoying a quiet moment, playing cards, working on a puzzle, or relaxing away from the screen.Located just a stone’s throw from the bus and train stations—as well as ferry and hovercraft links—getting around is a breeze, making a car entirely optional during your stay. The property is just a 4-minute walk from the Ryde Seaplanes terminal and only 3 minutes from the fantastic new bus station, which provides direct connections to every corner of the island.For those who prefer to drive, on-street parking may be available nearby; however, please note that some spaces are reserved for permit holders only.Please note that Castle Cottage does not offer on-site parking. However, parking permits are available through the Isle of Wight Council website, covering both local car parks and island-wide locations. Along the promenade, you will find tennis courts, ten pin bowling, a fun fair, canoe lake and a swimming pool, providing plenty to do within the local area. You can also enjoy the scenic coastal walks, go sailing, fishing, horse riding, golf or even go-karting, all of which are easily accessible from the property. Ryde is known as the gateway to the island as it can be easily reached within just two hours directly from London Waterloo via train, which connects with the island’s catamaran and hovercraft services via Portsmouth and Southsea. No money will be taken, unless any damage is reported at the property within 14 days of your departure. There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car, If it becomes apparent a car is being charged without approval, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost. FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION:The Island Holiday Company are responsible for the full management of this property and should you need to contact us during your stay we are available between 9-5 Monday to Friday, We also operate an out of hours emergency service on the weekends - please refer to your property brochure left inside the property, for further information and contact details. No stag or hen parties are permitted at any of our properties. There is a strict no smoking/vaping policy, inside all our properties. A small pet may be considered at the owners discretion – Pet fees will apply. Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels and cot linen as necessary. Please be respectful of the property and the neighbours during your stay; leaving the property as you found it on your arrival A breach of the above rules and guidelines could mean forfeiture of the Security Deposit.
