About the host
Hosted by Claire
I’m Claire, I’m born and bred Cumbrian and daughter of a dairy farmer, I have always lived in the village of Mockerkin where we still farm today, I’m Married to Garry who helps me run the holiday Cottages and we have 2 boys Sammy & Lucas who are always on hand to help out with the farm, cottages and animals!
Why they chose this property
Mockerkin is a quiet rural hamlet situated at the foot of the Cumbrian fells of the Loweswater valley, a traditional farming village nestled in the countryside but easily accessible to all the local towns and tourists attractions.
What makes this property unique
Lamb Garth is a beautiful rustic Cottage that started life as a hay barn and cow shed, thoughtfully renovated to keep the spacious open feel with the incredibly high ceiling with the original wooden beaming showing, the traditional open fire really enlightens the evening creating the most memorable stays.
