About this property
Cottage on the Farm
Welcome to The Cottage on the Farm. Our Cottage is a split of our 320 year old Farmhouse with two private entrances for guests to use.
The Cottage is set over two floors comprising of a living room with decorative sandstone fireplace and kitchen downstairs. The staircase leads up to the bedroom with a double bed and small single bed creating an open plan family room with en suite.
Outside in the garden guests have the choice of two private seating area's to choose from.
please note that all dogs must be payed for upon booking and are not to be left unattended in the cottage or garden at anytime.
Amenities: Gas central heating. Electric oven and hob, washing machine, microwave, Airfryer, fridge freezer, TV with Freeview and built in dvd player, selection of books and dvds. Bed linen and towels included in your stay. Ample private parking. country cottage garden, including garden furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no smoking inside the cottage. Local shop 1.5 miles, real ale pub 1 mile.
The Cottage does contain traditional low beams (duck or grouse) and some small steps.
This is a working farm so machinery may be in use during your stay.
Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water Lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Village: Situated a short 5 minute drive or a 25 minute walk downhill is the attractive village of Bassenthwaite. This charming settlement retains its traditional rural feel and boasts a stream which winds through the outskirts of the village in addition to whitewashed Lakeland cottages, a well-maintained green and a real ale inn, full of character. Bassenthwaite Lake offers rolling hillside scenery and remains one of the most picturesque places in England.
