Fishermen approved!

Fantastic spacious home base for the Driftless Experience. Even when the weather didn't cooperate for fishing, the home was comfortable and inviting. The hosts' response time was rapid whenever we needed anything. The property had everything we needed. What a great place to stay.

Amazing and comfortable

Very quaint, spacious and an excellent kitchen and coffee bar!! If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway the chickadee cottage is the perfect place!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Chickadee Cottage! There was so much space for our multi-generation family to spread out, and great spaces for us to come together to play games and chat. The kitchen was spacious, clean, and well supplied. The bathrooms were also clean and equipped with necessities. We absolutely loved the location. Girls Get Away

The Chickadee cottage was everything we hoped for and more. Fantastic kitchen to cook, play board games and bond in-plenty of nice added touches (coffee bar, robes, cribbage board) to make the stay especially enjoyable. Loved everything about the place.

Bigger and nicer than pictures show.

We held our family Christmas get-together at this comfortable, roomy home. Huge island for all the food and beverage. Beautiful setting on a hill in the woods. Accessible blacktop road. Would highly recommend.

Rockbridge wedding

My brother & I stayed in Chickadee Cottage the night before and the night of my daughter’s wedding in nearby Rockbridge. What an amazing property! It was beautifully appointed, comfortable and the views from the vista were amazing! Wish I could have another day to recuperate. The coffee & tea service was very much appreciated, too. Highly recommend for a large family getaway.

Very clean. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Two bedrooms were upstairs and small spiral staircase. Was not sit conditioned upstairs, but has fans. Spacious living room well furnished. Wonderful location. Well kept yard. Overall, very enjoyable.

Perfect place for cousin reunion

There is so much space in this house. Huge kitchen. Large family room. Large living room. Plus many bathrooms and bedrooms. We had more space than we needed but we could stretch out. We liked it so much that the entire group decided to come back here again next year. Wonderful hosts were super responsive to every question.

Girls Annual Weekend Reunion

Chickadee Cottage was delightful! It's a charming 'old' home with loads of modern updates that make it very comfortable. There's plenty of space: a huge country kitchen, 4 bedrooms, and additional sleeping space in the basement, 3+ bathrooms, and 3 gathering spaces for TV watching, game playing, conversation, reading, and napping. You're at the top of a hill with a beautiful view of treetops, which was very colorful during our visit in October, and we also had a clear night sky for perfect viewing of a full moon. We loved Chickadee Cottage and would stay again!
