A lovely home in a sublimely peaceful setting. This was the perfect spot for our annual visit to the Berkshires. From morning coffee to late night conversations, the large screened porch with a view of the lake was the place to be! Spacious, super clean and beautifully furnished

Perfect home base in the Berkshires!
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! We had a wonderful 4 days...went canoeing, hiking, swimming, saw a show at Tanglewood and played games on the screen porch. The house was clean, well stocked and oh so comfy! We will definitely return.

Comfy Retreat!
My family and I spent a long weekend here in the winter. Nice and quiet, cozy fireplace and probably a ton of fun in warmer weather as it is right on the lake. Unfortunately, no streaming tv/music is allowed but if you're looking to completely disconnect, this is the place for you! Owner was very reachable and accommodating.

We have changed the streaming policy so if you want/need to stay connected you can :)
All you will hear are the sounds of birds at this very private house on a quiet lake. Our family enjoyed swimming, paddle boarding, along w/ many hours eating or playing games on the screened porch. Even though we had some rain, the porch allowed us to take in all the wonderful scenery and still have a wonderful vacation those days.

Wonderful home in the Berkshires
Our family (children and grandchildren) recently spent a relaxing and enjoyable week at Juan's beautiful log home in the Berkshires. Our grandchildren enjoyed the outside performance at Jacob's Pillow which is only two miles away, blowing bubbles in the spacious backyard, trips to the "sandy beach" in Lee, and, the family barbecues and dinner on the long screened in back porch with the lovely view on the lake. It was a very special week and we look forward to coming back next summer. Maria and Roger Markovics

Thank you for taking great care of the house. So glad you and your family had a great week! We'd love to have you back next summer.
My husband and I stayed at Arco Sur Halloween weekend. The house was exactly as pictures on the site and it was conveniently located to Great Barrington, Lee, Lenox, Stockbridge and Pittsfield. To our surprise we woke up to 6" of snow our first morning! The view outside of the lake and trees was beautiful and peaceful. We were able to utilize the fireplace, surround sound music system, and kitchen. The bed was comfy and the bathrooms had heaters which is a great perk on cold mornings. Thank you Juan for your hospitality! We look forward to returning to Arco Sur in the future!

Perfect Home in the Berkshires
We spend Memorial Day weekend at this property (Friday - Monday) and had a fantastic time. The home is beautiful, clean and the perfect layout. The grounds are lovely and well kept. Porch was awesome for grilling and hanging out as the sun set. The small lake right behind the house was beautiful. Juan and Lucia were very helpful as we prepped for our stay and made it clear they would be available should we have any questions or need any recommendations.
The home was in a great location. Here were some of the highlights of our trip, all a quick drive away -
- Hiking Sanderson Brook Falls
- Dinner at District Kitchen & Bar in Pittsfield
- Drinks at Thistle & Mirth in Pittsfield
- Live Music at Dream Away Lodge
- Dinner at Donaji Mexican in Great Barrington
- Shopping in Lenox
- Lunch at Alta in Lenox
- Coffee at Lenox Coffee
- Pastisserie Lenox
Highly recommend!

Our Becket Getaway
Our group consisted of 3 female former coworkers, one of whom now lives in MA while 2 of us are in western NYS. Once a year we meet up somewhere in between to catch up. Overall, we had a very good time and enjoyed the house and area. We were there 3 nights, and spent the days exploring towns in the area (Lenox, Stockbridge and Great Barrington). Each was maybe a 20-30 minute drive from the house but a very easy, relaxed drive. The weather was VERY hot, but keeping the house closed up while we were gone during the day and then opening it up in the evening, along with the ceiling fans, worked well. We enjoyed the large, screened porch in the mornings and evenings. A few things that could have been better: upon arrival, the house was not as clean as we would have liked, especially considering there is a $150 cleaning fee. There were only 2 wash cloths, for 3 guests, as well as only 2 hand towels, and the towels had seen better days. We had trouble getting the Wi-Fi to work, and once we got it, it said the network was not secure, so we did not use it. We were asked to take our trash with us; there were some instructions on the wall about using the dump, but they were unclear (needing a vehicle pass?) so we ended up taking it back to NYS with us. (Thankfully it was not stinky trash!) Note that there is no true view of the lake (a little bit from one end of the porch) and the furniture near the lake, while picturesque in the photos, is extremely worn and dirty as to not be usable. In other places I have rented, the owners had a 3-ring binder full of information about the house and area and I would suggest that here. While there was information, it was not all in one place, and for instance, we had a hard time getting the TV to recognize the DVD player and figure out which remote(s) we needed. There are a LOT of players and remotes; having clear instructions and maybe labeled remotes might help. We finally did get it to work, and later found some instructions that had fallen behind the TV, but again, a binder for all might be handy. These are things that could be improved upon, but I want to emphasize that we did have a good time and it is a nice house, in a VERY quiet neighborhood. The owner (Juan) was very easy to work with; I am sure we could have contacted him with questions about the TV, trash, etc., but chose not to. When making the reservations he was always quick to respond, and our security deposit was promptly refunded after the trip.

Hello Linda, thank you for your thoughtful review. I'm glad your group had a good time in the Berkshires and at our house. As for the cleaning, we use a local service that spends several hours each time cleaning the house. We will let them know that you were not 100% happy.
We'll get more wash cloths, no problem, and we'll retire the oldest towels. No one has brought this up before, otherwise we would have taken care of it.
The Wi-Fi is quite straightforward, just needs a password which we sent and is listed on the board.. We have never had any issues with it not being a secure network. Fortunately fiber optic cables are being laid out in Becket and in the near future we hope to take down the satellite service.
We ask that renters who are there for a few days take their trash because there is no pick up service, but we will try to find a solution to that.
As for the view of the lake which is a little over 100 ft away, we enjoy seeing it through the trees which give us privacy.
The TV remotes and DVD players are not as straightforward as we would like and we will try to include more detailed instructions.
We always sent out detailed instructions and suggestions of places to visit, favorite restaurants, farm stands, trails, etc.etc. to visit in the area but it's a good idea to also assemble them in a three ring binder.
Again, thanks for your comments and suggestions and we hope to see you again in the future.
Perfect getaway! very peaceful and perfect for what we wanted. Juan has been super with communication and everything was clean and beautiful! Would love to visit again!
My family and I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in this cozy, warm and well maintained home at the end of March. Even though we ended up with a couple of days of snow during our trip, we were happy to get more time to spend indoors in this beautiful and charming home. Juan is the perfect host and checked in with me prior and during the stay to see if everything was ok. We appreciate Juan’s hospitality and hope to return during warmer weather to enjoy the direct lake access.

So glad you and your family had a good stay at Arco Sur! I hope you will be back when it's warm.
This house provided the perfect setting for our family to get away for a few days. Within a relatively short drive you have access to so much of the beautiful Berkshires. We loved the house and it met/exceeded all of our needs! We would love to stay there again!
Had a lovely, quiet 3 night visit. The home was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Juan made the process easy and I would definitely recommend this property.

We loved our stay in the house. The house was full of charm and with lots of outside space it was great escape to get away from it all. Loved sitting by the fire. Juan couldn't have been more helpful and communicative.

Thanks Peter, I'm glad it all worked out for you. Hope you'll stay again in the future.
My family and I were looking for a place to get together within the state that felt like a getaway and this was perfect! We went ice skating, took walks in the area and were a short drive to local mountains and Bish Bash falls. The open kitchen/living room area was perfect for spending the evenings cooking and playing games in front of the wood stove which kept us cozy and warm. All the beds were comfortable including the pull out couch. Juan was extremely good with communications and answered any questions we had promptly. Thank you for opening your home to us!

I'm glad you had a good stay. Winter in the Berkshires can be lots of fun!
Our stay for new year’s eve was amazing. I was wondering there with my two boys in f 16 and 10. Juan was super responsive, the place is just like on the pictures and it’s well insulated and heated so even with winter weather we were nice and comfy. The lake shore is nice and there are tons of hikes in a 30m radius.
The place has plenty of ustensiles and pans to cook and bake and Juan left some oil, and other stuff for us to use as well as some coffee.
The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of extra blankets.
The instructions on the guide might seem a bit overwhelming for winter but it’s actually very straightforward.
Nice bonus, the sound system from the porch to the kitchen and living room with iPhone adapter. Made our new year’s eve evening really fun.

So glad you and your kids had a good time. I also love the Berkshires in winter! Hope you will come back when it’s warm.
We enjoyed 11 nights in this comfortable lake house that felt much more like home than other VRBOs. The family really lives here, and we felt like we belonged too! Very well appointed and attractive. Don’t miss the spectacular morning reflections on the lake, or paddle out on it.
One footnote: the Masspike is about 3/4 mile away. When winds blow out of the south, trucks climbing and braking are audible. Turn on a bathroom fan, and you can’t hear them.

We were seeking downtime and serenity and this was the perfect spot! Everything as advertised. Cozy log home with comfortable furnishings and a well equipped kitchen which made it easy to prepare meals. Mattress in master was very comfortable. Property was very clean. Enjoyed the screen porch for coffee in the morning and for dinners and sunset, even when the temperature dropped to 34! Owner responsive to questions. Would love to return in the summer and use the lake. I appreciated the fact that the trees were left in place to afford privacy from the lake.
