This is our everyday home, which we sometimes rent out when we’re away.
It is a white brick building that was built in 1979. Since then, the interior has been completely renovated, though some details remain original. It was originally built to be wheelchair-accessible, so all hallways are wide (unusual for houses from that era).
You enter through the centre of the house, where a low wall separates the hallway from the kitchen. Straight ahead is the renovated bathroom, featuring a large bathtub and a separate shower. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, with a table that seats at least 6 people. Adjacent to the kitchen is a teenager’s room with a 120x200 cm bed, a desk, and plenty of space. From the kitchen, you can also access the laundry room. Down the hall from the kitchen is another spacious teenager’s room with a 90x200 cm bed and a small desk. There is also a smaller room that we’ll use for storage. You then enter the living room, which features a ceiling height of up to 3.5 metres and a beautiful tiled stove. The room is divided by a paper screen, behind which is a bedroom area with a king-size (180x200 cm) bed. The larger part of the room features various seating options (for up to 6 people), as well as a video projector with a screen and a sound system. There are two 90x200cm mattresses that can be placed in the teenagers’ rooms as extra beds (or in the living room, though this will make the space feel more crowded).
The garden is well-enclosed and reasonably well-maintained, with plenty of grass for sitting and running, as well as flowers, berries, and more. The outdoor furniture comfortably seats at least 6 people around the table and 4 in lounge chairs. These chairs can be moved up to the rooftop terrace for more fresh air, sun, and a view. There is a large, safe trampoline. The property totals 740 square metres (8,000 square feet).
There is a separate apartment with a long-term tenant, facing the street, connected via a hallway. The tenant has the right to use the laundry room, which is located in that hallway (so they will never enter the main house but may be seen or heard from the kitchen).
We’ll ask you to feed our fish and water our plants, both indoors and outdoors.
