LOCATION The Bucket is a family run, luxury self-contained lodge, ideal for couples of families looking for relaxing self-catering break. The Bucket is situated in the sleepy village of St Lawrence Bay and is just a few minutes’ walk from the river front and the Blackwater Estuary. St Lawrence is host to two local pubs, The Stone and St Lawrence Inn as well as two Indian restaurants. The Dairy, is a local well stocked convenience store, open 7 days a week. All within easy walking distance.
The Blackwater Estuary provides an excellent location for water sports and home to The Stone Water Sports Club and The Stone Sailing Club, both are only a 5 minute walk from The Bucket.
The Bucket is conveniently situated between Maldon and Burnham-On-Crouch. The Historic market Town of Maldon hosts a selection of shops, coffee shops, bars and restaurants. It is also includes the famous Promenade Park, which is also home to the Old Thames Sailing Barges and is a hive of activity.
Burnham-On-Crouch is a popular sailing village, with local shops and restaurants and even has its own independent cinema.
ACCOMMODATION Along the hallway you will find: Double Bedroom featuring a large wardrobe with drawer storage, bedside cabinets, bedside lamps, radio alarm clock, suitcase storage, mirror and shelf and wall mounted TV. There is also a modern En-Suite Shower room.
Next is the light, fresh and modern Family Bathroom featuring a full Sized Bath, overhead Shower, Vanity Sink, WC and cupboard space.
Further long the hallway is the Twin Bedroom. This is a large bedroom, featuring two twin beds, bedside unit, lamp and mirror along with a large wardrobe. There is also plenty of room for a travel cot if required.
The Hallway also provides coat hanging space and hall dresser with a stack of books, board games, DVDs and CDs to help with those cosy nights in
Leading off from the hallway is the modern open plan, living area. The Kitchen offers an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and washer, everything you need to make you stay as relaxed and easy as possible. There is also a spacious dining area with a table and chairs for four people. The cosy lounge has a two, two seater couches, each with side tables and lamps, there is a desk area and coffee table, TV and DVD. There is also a beautiful log burning fire for the extra cosy feel. The lounge has French doors which open to a courtyard area, with table and chairs, BBQ area and a retractable washing line. The front of the property provides off road parking for two vehicles.

We stayed here for 3 nights over Christmas as we were visiting family nearby. The place was lovely and the host had even put up some Christmas decorations and left us a package of tasty cookies! We enjoyed our stay at "The Bucket".
