It’s a relaxed, family-friendly setting, with plenty to dip in and out of throughout your stay. Across the estate, you’ll find indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spa and wellness facilities, tennis courts and multi-use sports courts, along with children’s playgrounds and an indoor soft play area (a rare find).

Even though you have a full kitchen, sometimes it’s nice to make life a little easier and have someone else do the cooking for a change. Thankfully, at Lower Mill Lakes there’s a great mix of food and drink options across the estate, giving you flexibility throughout your stay without needing to travel far. Whether you’re planning a proper meal or just need a few extra bits, Ballihoo Restaurant serves relaxed breakfasts, lunches and dinners on site, while The Pizza Shack offers wood-fired pizza for easy takeaway. You’ll also find The Snug for drinks and light bites, the Wine Room at Ballihoo with its self-serve wine dispenser, and Ballihoo Market for essentials, fresh bread and ready-made meals. For a short walk beyond the estate, The Baker’s Arms pub in Somerford Keynes is only around 15 minutes away.

The Cotswolds is famous for good reason: the rolling hills, the picture-perfect villages, the honey-coloured cottages that seem to deepen in colour by late afternoon.
What tends to surprise people is everything else. Cheltenham Jazz Festival pulls a line-up you'd expect from a much larger city, and the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford is one of the great spectacles of the British summer. Theatres, galleries, antique shops and the kind of coffee stops worth a detour are scattered across the region, often in places you wouldn't think to look.
Daylesford Organic started as a farmshop and has quietly become something closer to a country estate you can spend the day inside, spa included. The Bull at Charlbury does a Sunday roast worth planning the weekend around. Aynhoe Park, since Restoration Hardware took it on, is somewhere between a country house and an art installation. The Cotswold Lakes are a world of their own, lodges on the water, paddleboards waiting for you, room to explore and room to do nothing at all.
This is our neighbourhood. So whether you're after a dog-friendly weekend of long walks and pub fires, a five-star house with a hot tub overlooking a lake, or somewhere to base yourself for a festival weekend, welcome. We're here to help.
What makes this property unique
Be.Here. is a collection of homes built for the kind of short stay that actually feels like one. Each one is different in setting, character, and shape of weekend, but they share the same quiet instinct for what a good break needs.
Nothing is left to chance. We've stayed in enough short-let homes to know which details matter, and we build every Be.Here. home around the ones that do.
Because a short break should feel like a real one. Whether you're here on your own with a book, around a long table with friends, or somewhere in between, the home should disappear into the background and let the weekend happen. That's the art of a great stay.
