We were, overall, very happy with the property. Plenty of space and the room arrangement was good for our large group. Still had privacy. View was fantastic, loved the decks with swings and rocking chairs. Spent a lot of time out there. Had a bear visit us! Our only big concern was the water. Even though the property description mentions conserving water and we also discussed this in an email, we felt the info was still misleading. The info mentions the well.... but it apparently hasn't worked in years, actually was unhooked, and all the water must be hauled. We did conserve water, but still had to have two hauls during our stay. We didn't shower as often as we wanted and only washed a couple of loads of towels. We did use the dishwasher. We felt the water was a big deal and it needs to be stressed more this will be a real concern for a larger group. We also made two garbage hauls ourselves. Property needs more garbage cans or a dumpster. A large group staying a week will have a lot of garbage especially if meals are cooked. Good communication - Lisa was always quick to respond and answered our questions. The cabin was well stocked and even though we were so high on the mountain, we still had plenty of parking. The people at the gate were all very nice and helpful. Some suggestions - the patio table and chairs on the deck need to be on the same level as the kitchen and DR. Need a small island in the kitchen. Back screen door on the main level needs repair. If we have a smaller group and/or the water problem is handled, we would definitely consider renting this property again and would recommend it to others. We all enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Janet,
We are thrilled you and your family enjoyed the cabin and the spectacular views. We greatly appreciate the five star review although the water was being hauled in. Our well is scheduled to be drilled in August. It has not functioned in about 6-8 weeks. It was “unhooked” because it was recently inspected and on schedule to drill a new well.
Our current nightly rate is very competitive compared to other cabins of this size, location and the excellent views our guests experience.
You mentioned a toilet that was “running” and that would empty out reserve tanks in no time. We have over 1500 gallons of water in reserve and over 4000 gallons was used during your stay. It could have easily been the running toilet. I am sorry about the water hauls but we never wanted you to be with out water. We didn’t hear about the running toilet until a nite or two before your check out. Our cabin is limited to 12 people and you had 16. We welcomed your entire group without hesitation. We monitored the water closely, as it got low we had water delivered. It could have been a combination of a large group and a running toilet. I am very sorry if it caused you any stress.
We offer trash pick during your stay and charge a nominal fee because we are charged by our maintenance crew. We also have a large trash bin on the property!
I am happy you all saw a bear. We see them often and It’s exciting to be so close to wildlife.
Thank you for your suggestions and will definitely consider them. We truly appreciate your comments. Have a nice summer and stay safe.
Absolutely wonderful cabin and view. The drive up was a little hairy but soooo worth it. The views were spectacular. The only negative was limited water - but we totally understood that and it was not a problem
We will definitely come back
We had the most relaxing stay at this cabin. The views are breathtaking. The journey up the mountain is totally worth it. You will not want to leave the porch. Everything was just as described, and the communication with the owner was great. We had everything we needed. The community was quiet, and the cabin location was very private. After seeing our pictures, all of our friends and family want to go next time. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful location and view!
The property has a nice location, on top of the hill with beautiful surroundings. Communication with the owner was smooth, but we did not know that we have to pay for parking. However, the cabin was not as clean as we saw in the pictures, hairs and crumbs on the seemed like previously used bed sheets and pillowcases. We did not like that aspect. The linen could be updated.

Hi Lorena,
I appreciate your review. We always welcome good and not so good feedback. Our guests are our eyes and ears as we aren’t always there between guests.
The parking is free. It’s the gate passes that you were asked to pay for as we are charged for every vehicle that comes to our cabin. We provide two for free. We still are awaiting for your payment for the fourth vehicle.
When you texted me about the hair on the pillow (you never mentioned crumbs) I asked you to send me photos so I could send to our cleaners and that never happened so I am still at a loss as to why they were in that condition. We have excellent feedback on the cleanliness and it disappoints me to learn it was not to your satisfactory.
We have recently purchased all new comforters and have since replaced the bedding since your stay.
Thanks again.
Beautiful house in great shape! Really enjoyed the sunsets from the jacuzzi after hiking in the Smoky mountains during the day
Home owner (Lisa) was very friendly and pro-active making sure that all our needs were met and checking on us on a regular manner :-)

We love the mountains and love this area. We bought this cabin as our 2nd home and decided to place it on the rental program to share with others. Should you ever want accommodations in Nashville we also have homes in Nashville that we rent to travelers.
Why they chose this property
If you rent this lovely cabin you will see first hand the love we put into the home. We have decorated it as if it was our primary residence. We come here often and are always making improvements. This truly is our home away from home and you will see for yourself that we have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable.
What makes this property unique
Our log beds are all hand made by a Tennessee gentleman and his wife and young children. He lives in the country on 100's of acres and cuts the trees himself and his children partake in chipping away the bark.
