About this property
Golden House Venice Yellow – Explore Eastern Veneto with Family
A bright, centrally located apartment, newly renovated and ready to welcome up to 6 guests with maximum comfort. Situated in a quiet area with free parking, just a 5-minute walk from the main square where you’ll find shops, restaurants, cafés, and plenty of local life. Mirano is rich in parks and Venetian villas—the most famous one is also just 5 minutes from our accommodation. The town is very close to Venice and the Brenta Riviera, and less than 20 km from Padua, Treviso, and Castelfranco. It’s extremely convenient for getting around, with buses and trains leaving from the nearby Mira-Mirano station, and quick access to the highway. It’s also perfectly positioned for trips to the seaside (Jesolo, Eraclea, Caorle) and the mountains (Cortina, Civetta ski area, Asiago plateau).
The apartment is spacious, ideal for large families (5–6 people) but also perfect for smaller groups who want plenty of room and comfort. It includes a fully equipped kitchen and a large living area with a dining table for six and a big sofa with a TV. Two terraces with excellent views are also available.
Mirano sits among some of the lushest landscapes in the Venetian countryside, which is why the lagoon nobility of the 17th and 18th centuries chose it as their preferred retreat and the ideal place to build their country residences—giving rise to the famous “villa culture.”
These residences, 36 in total throughout the area, are true architectural gems and remain the region’s greatest attraction for travelers who love art combined with the gentle rhythms of nature.
Thanks to its proximity to Venice and its almost equal distance from Padua and Treviso, Mirano allows visitors to vary their excursions easily. For this reason, it is also an excellent base for exploring the region.
The town’s name refers to its ancient role as a military observatory during the Roman Empire, and the area still features a remarkable example of Roman land division: large plots arranged in a grid of straight, intersecting roads. After periods under various rulers throughout history, Mirano reached its greatest splendor during the Venetian Republic.
Among Mirano’s main prides, as an important center of art, is the 16th–17th century Villa Erizzo, surrounded by the Belvedere Garden. The garden takes its name from the neo-Gothic tower (the “Castelletto”) rising amid the lush English-style greenery introduced in the 19th century—an enchanting blend of natural and architectural elements.
Thanks to the presence of Giambattista Tiepolo’s painting “The Miracle of Saint Anthony Attaching the Foot,” preserved inside the 17th-century Cathedral of San Michele, Mirano is also an essential stop on the artist’s official cultural itinerary.
