With its golden sands, Bigbury on Sea has one of the best beaches in the South Hams, and is ideal for children and adults alike. There is plenty for water sports enthusiasts as well, including its’ very own surf school. Walk across the sands at low tide to visit Burgh Island with its unique Art Deco Hotel favoured by Agatha Christie and Noel Coward or at high tide, ride across the water on the famous sea tractor. Climb to the top of the island for the riveting coastal views or just relax and enjoy a drink in the 14th Century Pilchard Inn. Located astride the South West Coastal Path, enjoy exploring the delights of the numerous bays and headlands along this beautiful piece of coastline and visit some of the old Pub/Restaurants in the nearby villages along the way.
