Great place for us, four couples. The kitchen living room area is very large and stocked with everything a person would need to cook your own meals. Bedrooms each have large private bathrooms that are kept extremely clean. Loved the covered porch and private beach. Would definitely stay here again. Doni answered any time we called or text for information or assistance.

Why they chose this property

Placencia sits on a slender 16-mile finger of land with the Caribbean on one side and a quiet lagoon on the other — one of the last stretches of mainland Belize where the beach hasn't been swallowed by high-rises. Our stretch of it is on the peninsula's calmer north end, once part of the old Rum Point Inn grounds, so it's removed from the bustle of the village but never far from it. Fishing skiffs still putter past at sunrise, the barrier reef glimmers just offshore, and the pace of life here is set by the tide rather than the clock. It's the kind of place where you slow down without trying to.

What makes this property unique

This home was built to erase the line between indoors and out — every room opens toward the water, so the sea breeze does most of the decorating. It's the rare private-acre setting in Placencia where you get real elbow room: your own beach frontage, your own pool, your own patch of garden, without another villa in view. History lingers here too, since the land once belonged to the historic Rum Point Inn, giving the property a sense of rootedness you won't find in newer builds nearby. And with Starfish Villa next door for larger groups, it's flexible enough to host an intimate couple's escape one week and a full family reunion the next.
