About this property

For work or play and TX hospitality at its best. The suite has a cozy sitting area, desk, fireplace, queen bed w/luxurious linens, continental breakfast/coffee bar/and plenty of goodies. LARGE custom bathroom w/spa shower and all the necessary essentials. Ceiling fans and comfy furnishing. Levoit air purifier in suite. Washer/dryer available in ‘common area’.This is a 1923 mail order Bungalow, but has been updated w/all the modern conveniences. The look is rustic/elegant, TX Hill Country, with a touch of Romance! Large private parking lot, surrounded by beautiful plants and shade trees. Each suite has their own private entrance and each has access to a very nice covered porch/sitting area for morning coffee and evening relaxation,. The property is very close to downtown - actually within walking distance to restaurants, breweries, drug strore, court house, Cailloux Theatre, multiple churches, very close to our beautiful municipal golf course, high school stadium, plus the VA, Peterson and State hospitals, Schreiner College is right down the road, the Guadalupe River and 5 mile walking trail is very close and our list could go on and on!! Kerrville is a great place for motorcyclists, bicyclists, old car enthusiast - TXHighway 39 hugs the Upper Guadalupe River, we are not actually on TX 39 BUT we serve as a great staging point for the rest of the Hill Country, no matter which direction you choose to go. We are close to Bandera, Leaky, Lost Maples State Park, Medina, Comfort, Ingram, Hunt, Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, Sisterdale, Boerne, the “Three Twisted Sister’ trails, etc. You could even go on a day tour of some of the nearby wineries, breweries, and distilleries - or have a limo pick you up and drop you off right at our front door. COME ENJOY YOURSELF - we would love to have you stay at our quaint little BnB!
We do want to let you know our BnB is located on a corner lot - there is traffic, so there may be a little ‘traffic’ noise. And there are also 3 (total) private suites in the Main building.

All the comforts of home.

We had an amazing stay at Bois D'Arc Bungalows. If you are looking for a VRBO that is clean and comfortable then this is it. The house is beautiful and the host, Claire, was great with communication and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you!!

Wonderful Host and Accomodation

Clair met us on arrival and showed us our room and all the common areas. The home is lovely and Clair is simply a great host. She was available and responded to messages and questions right away and always cheerfully. Cannot recommend Bois d’Arc highly enough!!

Married, semi retired, have three grown children with two grown grandchildren and one brand new granddaughter! We have so many hobbies that we enjoy (motorcycling one of our favorites), gardening, antiquing, always a new project of some sorts, just cant seem to get to all of them when we would like to! But what we REALLY enjoy is meeting and being able to visit a bit with our wonderful guests!!

Why they chose this property

Our property is a wonderful old 1923 mail order Bungalow (we think Sears). I actually attended high school right across the street from it in the 60’s an have always loved the look of this beautiful old home, which a few years ago was in dire need of repair or be torn down. Now we are the proud owners of a beautiful restored (with all the modern upgraded conveniences), The look is rustic/elegance Tx Hill Country, with a touch of romance in each of the suites. It is a rather large bungalow that is now converted with three completely Private suites (with their own entrance and large spa like bathrooms) and a common area guests can utilize, with washer and dryer available. This home has a beautiful “L’ shaped front porch, that has outdoor furniture for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the mornings or maybe even a nice glass of wine in the evenings!! We also have a fenced back courtyard that has a covered gazebo and when its a little cooler a fire pit to enjoy. Check us out, for work or play with TX hospitality at its best and wonderful amenities for your convince and to enjoy. This suite has a queen bed, with two recliners, a nice large TV, fireplace, continental breakfast, lots of tasty goodies, microwave, toaster, coffee area with frig, blender, etc. VERY LARGE bathroom with a spa type shower area. There is also a large private parking lot - we would rather our guests not park in the street - PLUS, beautiful landscaping. Come enjoy our quaint BnB!

What makes this property unique

Kerrville is a great base for the motorcyclists, bicyclists, old car buffs, wine and beer enthusiasts, ‘River rats’ (the Guadalupe River offers such an array of wonderful activities - boating, tubing, swimming, 5 mile river walking path, kiaking, etc.). Tx Highway 39 hugs the Upper Guadalupe River, we are not actually on TX39 BUT we can serve as a great staging ploint for the rest of the TX Hill Country, no matter which direction you decide to go! We are close to Bandera (the Cowboy Capital of TX), San Antonio (with its popular River Walk, The Alamo, many old Missonary’s, etc), Boerne, Fredericksburg (an amazing old German town with more shopping than you can do in a day), Luckenbach (Willie Nelson played here, outdoor seating, singing, good food and roosters in the trees), Lost Maples State Park (beautiful hiking), Medina; Comfort and Ingram (both great if you like antiques), Ingram is an ‘artists delight’ and also offers outdoor summer plays; looking for an absolutely beautiful drive - high natural rock walls and flowing creek for miles an miles, just follow along the Hunt road!), the ‘Three Twisted Sisters’ (motorcyclists love these three uniquely beautiful twisted roads), There is so much to keep you occupied in our area, we are close to so much and in such a diverse area. Plus, we have so many wineries popping up (they say we are going to be the second Napa Valley), also many breweries and a few distilleries - there are limo’s that will pick you up and drop you back off, right at the BnB’s front door. This property is close to downtown - so within walking distance you can go to restaurants, breweries, dive bars, clubs, The Cailloux Theatre, multiple churches, drug store, etc, And close driving distance is Schreiner College, our beautiful municipal golf course, the VA, Peterson and State hospitals, the list could go on and on. You will just have to come visit our beautiful Texas Hill Country to see for yourself - promise not to steer you wrong!
