Carol's Cottage is located in the historic and beautifully wooded Methodist Encampment neighborhood. The Light On The Hill, Methodist Ministry and Church is adjacent to the neighborhood, which hosted the first vacation homes in Kerrville, most originally owned by Methodist Ministers. While there are many activities within miles, Carol's Cottage offers a quiet respite for long walks, visits with neighbors or reading quietly in the yard while watching the deer graze.

Very clean, comfortable cottage and a beautiful property. Kitchen was well equipped and the home was well furnished. The backyard is fully fenced and pet friendly. It has a nice pool area with a patio in a nice adjacent backyard area with cushioned chairs, tables and lounge chairs. There is a barbecue grill and outdoor fire pit. The hosts graciously included a complimentary bottle of local wine. My only suggestion to add to guest comfort would be a couple of new pillows in the bedroom and perhaps a Pyrex measuring cup. Excellent accommodations!

Beautiful, cozy rental. Everything was super clean, and owner/management had thought of every detail a visitor might need. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year. Lovely cottage, terrific host, fantastic neighborhood

Carol is a premier host! We loved her cozy cottage and fenced-in back yard with a covered porch and lovely views for us and convenience for our dog. I’ve already booked a return trip and highly recommend. The neighborhood is a very special pocket of Kerrville with an artsy flair and families of deer roaming about.

It was our second time staying at this home. It's a perfect place to relax and enjoy all the beautiful birds and evening visits from deer. We loved doing day trips to Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, Hunt and Ingram and coming back to Carol's Cottage for a dip in the pool. The house is so comfortable and fully stocked. The beds were perfect! We were fortunate to visit with the property owner's granddog, Hero. Will definitely stay again soon!

Joe and Carol Triola and have been in Kerrville for 36 years. We moved from Houston to raise our children in this wonderful town. Joe is a retired Real Estate Inspector and chief grandpa and Carol is a Licensed Professional Counselor. We are well known around Kerrville and take great pride in our reputations, for being ethical, hard working people you can count on.

Why they chose this property

We built the cottage (2014) as an addition to our property, and so we could continue to enjoy visitors. The Methodist Encampment location makes it an especially appealing vacation home for those who appreciate esthetics and/or are visiting one of the many fun festivals in Kerrville or Light on The Hill for Emmaus retreats, or other events.

What makes this property unique

We love the coziness of the home, as well as it's preserved wood and stone. It has a 100 year old antique pine counter top in the kitchen, oak floors and native field stone on the house. As always, it is "the cleanest house in town". The location is close to everything, quiet and feels like you are in the woods, 5 minutes from town.
