3 Bedroom 2 Bath Chalet in peaceful countryside location close to Exeter
Lake Lodge sits in the grounds of our peaceful farm overlooking our pond. It was built in 2025 for us to live in whilst our derelict farmhouse was restored and we loved living there especially waking up to see the ducks floating around the pond in the morning.
Lake Lodge is a great location to enjoy some peace and quiet to recharge your batteries. On the pond you may see many different animals including dragonflies as well as kingfishers.
There is lots to do in the area with the historic city of Exeter (very impressive Cathedral) only a short drive away and a number of National Trust properties close by as well. The seaside resorts of Exmouth and Sidmouth are only a short drive away as well.
There are a number of great pubs in the area offering good food and drink but there is a fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook for yourselves.
Lake Lodge sleeps up to 7 people in 3 bedrooms (1 king size bed, 1 double bed, 2 single beds and a sofabed in the lounge). It has an ensuite bathroom (with shower and toilet) and a family bathroom (with bath, overhead shower and a toilet).

We have hosted guests at a couple of our holiday homes in Torquay for a number of years now so when we moved to a farm near Exeter we wanted to share the tranquility and beauty that we found here. Whilst we were restoring the almost derelict farmhouse we built Lake Lodge to live in whilst the works continued. Now we have moved into the farmhouse we wanted to offer Lake Lodge to other guests to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the farm because of its history and the peace in the surrounding farmland and nearby woodland.
It was also very close to Exeter and the seaside so the area offers lots to do as well as giving us the privacy and seclusion we wanted.
We wanted somewhere to keep our horses as well as raise some chickens, pigs and sheep.
