About the host
Hosted by Host
We bought the house way back in the last Millenium. It was home to us and two children, now both grown up, both of whom went to the nearby primary school. We chose it because it is very quiet because there is no through traffic; it is a cul-de-sac surrounded by other cul-de-sacs. It is very close to the centre of town, a 20 minute walk away. You can easily escape Exeter from there, too, by just heading west up Cowick St, and 20 minutes in a car you're wending your way through the impressive Dartmoor National Park. The River Exe is 5 minute walk away, and if you like a walk or a cycle, you can head to the coast on either side of the river, some 13 miles away. If I were you, I'd stop for coffee at the Quay, get a beer at the Double Locks, and top that up with another at the Turf Locks accompanied by a pub lunch. We still consider it a home, and that is what we are offeriing; a temporary second home, not an identikit hotel room, in an area ideal for families.
